A new study from Germany revealed that the hormone oxytocin could actually make the men who already have a pair shy away of beautiful women. Reporting from Live Science, Wednesday (11/14/2012), in the study, a man who has a partner and given oxytocin spray choose to distance of 6 inch away from beautiful woman. However, the spray does not effect on the men who are single. The man chose the distance is not because of oxytocin spray. However, Rene Hurlemann from the University of Bonn found that the hormone oxytocin could actually encourage loyalty in man. In humans, oxytocin has been known to encourage the emergence of a sense of entanglement between parents and children, increase confidence and reduce conflicts between couples. In this study, 57 heterosexual men received a single dose of oxytocin or placebo. Half of them are the men who have a partner. After receiving a dose of the hormone, they were introduced to a woman who is considered attractive. At first, the woman moving away or closer to the male respondents and asked them to say whether she was in an ideal range.
