At Dog in the Closet, we believe that a dog’s wardrobe should meet the same standards of quality as that of their owners. We use only the finest materials and most of our designs require extensive hand beading, appliques, embroidery, and other details. Our clothes are not mass produced and most of our designs are produced in limited quantities. Our special ocassion attire offers dogs of all sizes an opportunity to attend weddings and other special events in style. Our total approach includes dresses, harness vests, collars & bow ties, leashes, dog tees, dog tutus, and flower hair clips. Our Madeleine Dress and Bow Ties are available in a choice of colors to coordinate with most color schemes. Additional colors are available by request for an additional cost. Our dog tanks are available in a wide range of colors and nine sizes. Our dog tutus are available in four colors and nine sizes. Both may be purchased blank or with any of our vast assortment of rhinestone designs. We are glad to turn your art work into a custom designs with a twelve piece minimum. The same design can be used on our dog tanks, tutus, bandannas, women’s tees, and tote bags. Great for gifts and parties! The Zoey Batik Dress. Hand dyed batik cotton gauze dress with elastic bodice and adjustable straps. Individually painted and dyed with a border print flower design. Each dress will be slightly different due to the hand painting and dying process. Batik is a dying process using hot wax to cover parts of the design which are not to be dyed. After dying in one color the fabric is then boiled in hot water to remove the wax. Each color requires a separate painting and dying process.

The Lahaina Collection - Pink Hawaiian Dress. Light weight cotton Hawaiian print dress with coconut button closure and d-ring for leash attachment. Bodice is trimmed with pink, orange, and green rick rack and pineapple and flowers coconut pin. Dress may be worn alone or layered with our Hula Monkey Denim Harness Vest.
The Lahaina Collection - Hawaiian Boxer or Belly Boxer Shorts. Made with a blue Hawaiian print, Belly Boxers or Boxer Shorts can be worn with our Dog Tees, Monkey Fishnet Tank, or our Sufer Monkey Denim Harness Vest. Belly Boxers. Designed to protect furntiture and walls from territorial marking. Belly Boxers are a more fashionable choice for dogs used to wearing old fashioned belly bands. Shorts are designed with a pouch for inserting a feminine pad. Boxer Shorts. Fashion only for dogs who do not mark their territory.

The Lawrence Harness Vest. Blue, yellow, & white cotton plaid vest with a polyester/spandex white back for comfort and fit. Fully lined. D-ring for attaching leash. Shown with white shirt collar and yellow bow tie. Use with white cotton leash, sold separately. The Madeleine Dress. Custom coordinate this dress with the colors of any special event. Dress comes with white or eight color choices of sheer organza sash and 14 choices of silk organza flower. Shimmery tulle covers the satin skirt and bodice. The dress has adjustable waist with d-ring for leash attachment. Matching leash sold separately. Additional colored sashes and flowers may be purchased separately allowing the dress to be worn for many different occasions.

The Robin Denim Harness Vest. 100% silk appliqued bird and flower branch in colors of coral, orange, and lime are perfect for fall. Hand distressed vest with hand beading and embroidery. Each vest features a unique lock that also serves as the attachment for the leash. Matching black denim leash sold separately.
The Robin Silk Dress. Dress may be worn alone or layered under The Robin Vest. The silk dress features a silk flower and is hand washable.
The Brighton Denim Harness Vest. Silk and eyelet lace appliqued daisies & lady bugs with hand beading and embroidery. Step in design with lock that also serves as a d-ring for attaching leash. Fully lined. The Lanna Harness Vest. Hand made fabric is made by the Hmong Hill Tribe in Northern Thailand. Fabrics are made using traditional needle art with bold geometric embroidery designs in bright contrasting colors. Trimmed in denim & fully lined. Velcro closure. Comes with hand blown furnace glass charm. The Lanna Fuchsia Dress. 100% silk with hand crocheted straps with flower ends. Hand washable and can be layered with both the Brighton & Lanna Denim Harness Vests.
The Venice Frayed Harness Vest. Made of 100% cotton fabric hand dyed by the Hmong Hill Tribe of Northern Thailand. Fabric is made by hand painting decorative stripes with wax and dyed with the leaves of the indigo plant. Fabric is then cut into strips, frayed, and hand-woven into a lattice design. Slight variations may occur due to the handmade nature of the fabric. Each vest comes with a leather bow made with pom-poms and wooden beads. Bows are available in hot pink/light pink, purple/blue, or multicolor pom-poms.
The Hollywood Harness Vest is the most versatile vest we offer. With just one vest, you can customize many different looks for all holidays and occassions. Each vest has belt loops for adding a variety of collars and Velcro for changing out the sequin and denim patches. Silk Collars, Frayed Collars, Chain Collars, and Boa Collars are available to match all of our patches.
