Catch A Falling Star

– David Margan Our special show on 11 December 2021 which saw new judges crowned, a new Life member and finally, the handover of the proceeds of our most recent Charity Show to the Starlight Foundation.

We were joined by Tracey Tomlin, State Partnerships Manager with the Foundation.

Tracey broke down exactly what our donation of $9245 would achieve.

The money will help brighten the lives of 230 seriously ill children or young people and ward off the fear, loneliness and isolation of treatment and hospitalisation.

Starlight Children’s Foundation was founded in 1982 by filmmaker Peter Samuelson and actress Emma Samms, who was inspired by her brother’s death, at age 8, from aplastic anemia and Steven Spielberg now serves as the organization’s chairman.

The Starlight Foundation’s ethos is simple – give sick kids some fun, joy and laughter and they, working with health professionals have been doing that for over 30 years. “It was so lovely to meet you all and thank you so much for not only the incredible donation but for the warm welcome I received on Saturday afternoon. I had no idea as to the size of your events and the grounds were certainly very impressive.
