The architectural design is inspired by the consistent inconsistency present in Chattanooga by means of circulation (path), man vs. nature, and the history of the Hunter Museum of American Art. The Hunter Museum of American Art lies by the Art District Bluff where a beautiful connection the the site is drawn from an artistic filled culture. The Hunter Museum has been expanded four times and each expansion was designed to fit the architectural style of the time period. Most importantly this generated a panoramic scenery of collection of architecture while exploiting humanity's intellect and development.

PLANS

Circulation is a major aspect of the building, it reinforces the idea what the Art Bluff District is all about. From school to gallery space, from artist in residence to outdoor movement towards the other three museum buildings. The views are all around the building, which gives each space a special experience than the other.

The architecture and program of sonata house will allow the music that is played in it, to harmonically nourish the lives of the people of Marion. Dedicated for the teenagers of the region from ages 13 and above, This environment will help them develop a sense of reflecting amenability on society where crime and violence is common. The location of the site allows visibility on many different landscapes in the city, some contrasting and others complementing, which allows the architecture to remain versatile.

The music will help under-privileged people understand how they can contribute their community through art. All the spaces are all designed for more than five people so that individuals constantly think about one another and work as a team to produce music. The design of the building responds to this idea by being in motion but grounded at the same time, like the highs and lows of the lives of the students, which is reflected in the musical notes.

Organic architecture is derived from the subject that any person is mostly familiar with, the human body. The human body is composed in proportions that balance one another, however during my research I narrowed down this large idea to the anatomy of the hand. Most experience can be gathered by our senses but for the life of a monk, the mind is the master. The environment of a monk is secluded from daily consumer activities, and the only elements remaining are the ergonomics of space. To design for worship there must be a relationship built with a simple touch of a hand.

Heathcote Ward is one of the first four wards placed in Savannah, containing federal buildings, banks, a church, the Telfair Academy, as well as the Jepson Center for the Arts. Together these places make up a rich ward that is varied with historical, cultural, civic, and recreational aspects allowing it to remain one of the most important squares in the city of Savannah.

The Telfair Academy was previously owned by a rich British family, who gave their name to the square in the center of Heathcote Ward. This house contains characteristics from an era that are extremely valued. Most of the elements of architecture are displayed with an expression of geometry and aesthetic. The crown roof reflects the importance of the building as well as the projected entrance and the elevation expressed by the stairs on either side.

LIGHT STUDY Light

is not merely the means by which we recognize objects, that which makes them visible; light is the original source, the wellspring of all laws of nature, whether known to human science or not. -Louis I. Kahn

The glow of a place is sensed by the touch of sunray. Its dimensionality is exposed as time passes, enlightened here and darkened there. The verticality of this building holds a place in the sky as it stretches upwards. It's dynamic yet still, by the shadows that cast on it every hour of the day. There is energy in this place that is felt by its spirituality and its connection to nature. As it mountains upwards the sunlight touches the edges all the way to its peak. The lights glimpse in through its translucent windows making the luminosity ignite from within. Its spiritual significance makes this place yet of a landmark. The feeling of safety and comfort reaches out to me by its energetic radiance, reflecting upon the phenomenon of light and place.
