SYLLABUS SUMMARY

Students will receive a well-rounded and full introduction to the world of PE, sport and sport science by developing an understanding of how the mind and body works in relation to performance in physical activity. Students will also have an opportunity to perform a wide range of sporting activities over the 2 year course.

SKILLS SUMMARY

This course encourages learners to become more competent, confident and expert in their techniques, and apply them across different sports and physical activities. It will help students develop important transferable skills for progression to the next level, including numeracy, communication and an understanding of practical performances. The blend of scientific and social knowledge will be also be developed during the course.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED

2 Written Exams (60%), 1 Personal Exercise Program (10%), 3 Practical Sports (30%)
