Grand Repos The Grand Repos lounge chair by Antonio Citterio introduces a new level of comfort and flexibility to the home environment: with its generous padding, inviting armrests and high backrest, this elegant swivel-based lounge chair imparts an image of supreme comfort. And thanks to the synchronised mechanism concealed beneath the upholstery, sitters can move from an upright posture to a reclined angle for resting and lock the backrest in any position. Grand Repos is now offered in a limited edition of 350 featuring a contemporary and innovative two-tone knit, whose geometric lines form a graphic pattern. The playful effect of this pattern interacts with the timeless aesthetic of Grand Repos, emphasising the curving contours of the chair and tracing the lines of its seams. The combination of the fabric with a base in the special colour of metallic dark grey gives the chair a uniquely elegant, understated character.

developed numerous other variations. In 2014, Vitra updated its leather collection in collaboration with Hella Jongerius, increasing the range of colours for Premium leather to 22 hues. The Dutch designer has now used this palette to create new, carefully coordinated colour compositions for the Lounge Chair by combining Premium leather covers, wood veneers and bases in complementary shades. The expanded selection offers a wide range of new configurations, making it easy to find a chair that is ideally suited to personal tastes and preferences. The new versions of the Lounge Chair are also available in the classic size or with new dimensions.

Belleville Belleville is the name of the vibrant Paris neighbourhood where the designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec have their studio. Visual references for the Belleville Chair can be found in the classic French bistro furnishings and lively atmosphere of this Parisian quarter. The chair’s familiar shape - even in a contemporary context - might at first be taken for granted, yet it also evokes a sense of mystery and bemusement, since the materiality, construction and fabrication of the chair only become apparent at second glance. Paired with the Belleville Tables, the Belleville Chair and Armchair form a unified yet diverse group - a hybrid family of furnishings whose forms and materials are harmoniously coordinated. Thus the chairs and tables can be attractively combined in bustling bistro settings as well as sleekly modern galleries or diversely styled home environments. 6
