Observatory of nature in Fjarðabyggð, Iceland Bachelor Thesis Project Individual project at University of Arts in Poznań Year | 2019 - 8th Semester Advisor | dr hab. inż. arch. Eugeniusz Skrzypczak, prof. UAP Location | Fjarðabyggð, Iceland

Tourism in Iceland is a constantly growing area of economy, which brings high financial profits every year. There is an ever-growing demand to design buildings for the visitors to the island. Observation of nature is one of the main reasons why tourists decide to visit this country. The desire to experience nature, and to be in it, are the basic needs of every human being. The architectural project of nature observatory located on the Kistufell mountain, in Eastern Iceland was described in the ideological and technical scope of the thesis. The program includes the division of the building into public, semi-private and private zones. The observatory, accessible to all visitors, is a scenic view of the Reyðarfjörður Fjord and the town of the same name. Accommodation rooms are directed southwards to the mountain landscape.

Long, long time ago, under the blanket of snow, Guliver felt asleepcounting the last herd of sheep He would have slept here forever and ever, However... He heard the whisper of mountains and lake and he understood that it was a mistake.

The competition was aiming to use the former pottery building in Laveno Mombello into the largest and most innovative campus for childhood in the world. 27,000 m2 for a kindergarden, sports facilities, offices to scientists and endless pleyground. Factory is located in Italian borders, just a step away from Switzerland, France and Germany, future generations will find their „Neverland” in the abandoned architectures of a former industrial plant.

so he is awaken today, and now he wants to play! He really tried to stand up and look around, but his roots grew so deep into the ground! so he burst the whole land into pieces, just because of his frivolous caprices! He froze and panicked: „Oh! what have I done? „ But then he realized it was actually quite fun. he liked how the water split over the cracks, creating the islands we will tell you about...

STAGE II

STAGE I

THE CONCEPT OF SHAPING THE MALTA - WOŁKOWYSKA HOUSING ESTATE STAGE I - consisting in laying foundations for future green estates. First, we assume the establishment of pedestrian communication in existing green areas and the development of areas with unorganized greenery. In the first stage, it is also planned to introduce multi-family housing at Baraniaka and Wołkowyska streets, so as to supplement existing building quarters with tissue corresponding to the existing scale. STAGE II - is based on the assumption that the existing industrial area can be used in the future for housing and service development. In the first place, the post-industrial area would be transformed into a green area. Then, due to other industrial water reservoirs, we propose the introduction of a new form of industry and services, which would be hydroponic food cultivation, using water resources in this place. In the future, it would be a source of food production for the residents of the housing estate as well as a recognition and entertainment element due to its educational part, which is the designed lookout arable tower. The tower would also be a viewpoint on Lake Malta, which is invisible to most residents of the area.

2019 Living in the city

Main ideas of the project: - public greenery and private greenery - emphasis on pedestrian communication - shaping low-rise multi-family housing where it is possible in terms of urban planning (we were looking at reference estates such as Osiedle Jazdów in Warsaw) - using historical and natural conditions (canalized river)

Sports Center Individual project at University of Arts in Poznań Year | 2018 - 6th Semester Advisor | dr hab. inż. arch. Eugeniusz Skrzypczak, prof. UAP mgr inż. arch. Piotr Kamiński, asyst. Location | Poznań, Poland

PROJECT OF YOUTH CULTURE AND SPORT CENTER IN POZNAŃ Project is located in the old cultural center for young people, now expanded to a sport center and sports fields. Referring to the historical design of the square from 1927, I’ve decided to keep the plan of paths with maintaining the maximum number of trees. The main building is a sports hall, which is located in the southwestern part of the complex. There are separate entrances for athletes on the first floor and separate for the audience with a parking on the ground floor. The interior of the main hall is subdued and transparent. Both players and the audience have a view of the greenery through the glass part of the curtain wall. A truss structure based on columns and a reinforced bearing wall is exposed and visible from outside the building. An important element of the project are ramps, dedicated to each of the objects. They designate the main communication between buildings.

The main idea of the project is to create an interesting space for people who are visiting Paprocanskie Lake. Circular shape allows having a wider view of a lake. The place to relax and chillout has also an educational aspect. Every single bench is named after a unique water plant occurring in those waters. In the very middle of the construction, there will be a floating island as awareness of the water pollution of Paprocinskie lake. The chosen location have a good path connection with city transit. It can be a good rest place for cyclists, passersby or fishermen. The platform is dedicated to every age group but can accommodate a few people at once. Construction is made mainly of pine wood. The buoyancy is achieved by utilizing 5L plastic bottles.

Sukkot - let’s build a tent! Group project - workshops Year | 2018 Location | Poznań, Poland Tutors | Agnieszka Owsiany, Adam Wierciński Team | Franziska Jurgensen, Meirav Dadash, Nathanel Eliasi, Sylwia Gogolewska, Wiktoria Dudra, Wiktor Martin

The project was shaped by human activities, which are taking place in a traditional Sukkah, like: standing, sitting, lying or praying, eating and sleeping. Participants were focused on functionality and contemporary form of a tent. The construction was based on the framework, 3 walls and roof. The lowest part of Sukkah had 80 cm , average 160 cm and the highest 240 cm (as a multiple of the module 80 cm). Object has been divided into three zones: - the public, which invites you to enter - middle, semi-privacy, in which we can sit - private (most covered), where you can contemplate and rest. You can notice 3 steps of gradation in used material. Sukkah was designed also to stand in the urban space, which is why the group decided to design a bench that can be hidden inside or stand outside the object. A very important aspects were also a color and natural raw wood material. Group chose two colors: orange and dark green. The beams have been painted only on two sides, so every time only one color is visible from one angle.

Gemini lamp Lamp project was designed using two flat elements. The object is made of flexible materials, mainly plastic and LEDs. The lamps are portable, the light is delicate and stray. Lamps are loaded in special wall batteries. They are directly connected to photovoltaic panels on the roof. Such solution saves energy and provides children with pleasant light used during night turning on/off button is placed in the middle, as a panel connector of two modules. It is very light, it can be easily picked up by anyone. The lamp does not heat up, it is safe for children and animals.
