. about . Art is a very important aspect of my work and personal life, and as such is my preferred method of self-expression. During the first year in the University of Architecture (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam), I joined many special classes about essiential handdrafting techniques and fundamentals drawing and painting. It was there I found my art skills translated into a professional field. I often sketch out an idea of what I would like the building to look like before I deconstruct it into what the site requires.

I am ambitous, hard working and challenge orientated individual. I am eager to fullfil my lifelong desire to become a qualified architect and will do my best to achieve my goal.

My goal is not only to be able to provide sustainable and attractive spaces for people, but also to be able to inspire and motivate others how imagination can create a better living condition for mankind.

The Eldorado Ballroom was the center of Houston‘s Jazz culture and remains a prominent building in Houston‘s Third Ward infrastructure. The project aims to mitigate the current building and culture in this area while allowing for new growth in the community. The restoration of the Eldorado Ballroom will create a new vibrant place for music and compliment new structures along Emancipation Avenue.

Ballroom Restoration

.project Eldorado Ballroom Renovation

2.Eldorado

An adaptive building will be added to the site as well as exterior gathering spaces. The project will preserve the culture and aspects of the historical ballroom as well as reminding people of what this proud institution means to the community.

.renovation

.about Located in current Third Ward off of Elgin St and Emancipation Ave, the Eldorado Ballroom was built in 1939 by renowned Houston architect Lenard Gabert.

The ballroom, which occupies the second floor of the Eldorado Ballroom was the visual and spiritual symbol of the community.

The Eldorado Ballroom restoration will turn the existing ballroom building into a music educational facility.

The spot formerly known as Old Harrisburg is nestled between working-class neighborhoods and tankers heading to the shipchannel. It also marks the spot where Buffalo and Brays bayous meet. Early visionaries saw the importance of the area to what would become Houston. The community is located east ofdowntown Houston, south of the Brays Bayou and Buffalo Bayou junction, and west of Brady‘s Island.

The City of Houston has partnered with aprivate investment group to promote environmentalsustainabilityto the public by providing a public viewing area and educational centerfor studentand community groupsshowing the process of recycling large-and small-scalewaste productsand its benefit to supporta more sustainable environment.

.concept This project will focus on site and building relationships that can be developed between industrial recycling processes and educating the public on the sustainable benefits of these processes. The learning center is designed as part of the recycling plant development. While the recycling plant shall be generally inaccesible to the public, the learning center will provide a public component to the site/ building development and facilitate a public interface with the recycling process.
