CANDIDATE FOR CENTRAL REGION ANTI-GRAMMATEUS
DONI WALKER
Greetings Sorors! It is my distinct honor to be considered for the role of anti-grammateus for Central Region. I hope the credentials I have provided here will demonstrate how my previous experiences have prepared me for this important role. I was initiated into Nu Psi chapter at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in the Spring of 1999. As an undergraduate, I was very active in the chapter having served as anti-grammateus and basileus. In 2001, I was elected secretary of the Inter-Greek Council making me the first African-American member of the council outside of NPHC president. I went on to be voted 2002 Greek of the Year, the highest honor awarded among all Greeks on campus. Since that time, I have continued to grow as a leader in the sisterhood and served in a number of elected and appointed leadership roles, including committees, at the local, regional, and national levels. I am a proud charter member of the Bloomington-Normal, Illinois Chapter of the National Pan-Hellenic Council where, until recently, I held the position of charter secretary. Professionally, I have worked as a training and development specialist for the last 15 years at Illinois State University, the University of Michigan, and currently at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, I served five years on the Midwest Region Council for the National Association of College and University Foodservices; first, as the education chair, and later as regional secretary.
