Happy New Year, everyone! For this year’s Spring/Summer collection whilst we’re not throwing out the old, we’re most definitely welcoming in the new. Donna Wilson’s SS19 collection is a move toward a more abstract interpretation of nature and the elements. These new designs see Donna experiment with her distinctive use of colour and organic forms, while exploring the lightness of watercolour painting, and the fluidity and freedom of expression of drawing with ink. The abstract shapes and lines of Donna’s new tea trays and knitted cushions combine watercolour and collage, while the new tea towels feature free-flowing, paper and ink illustrations. It wouldn’t be a new collection without welcoming a couple of new creatures in to the fold, and this season we’re joined by a pair of farmyard fellows – Gus, a pink piglet, and Woolma, a black sheep stuffed with a new recycled lambswool filler made from our studio scraps. And following on from Donna’s popular bed and bath range, the new collection sees the addition of a range of canvas cosmetic bags and pouches in the shape of some of her most popular creations.
Plus, for fans of Donna Wilson’s fashion line, we have three new t-shirt designs decorated with watercolour illustrations of a few familiar faces. We hope you like the new direction as much as we do, and can’t wait to hear your feedback!
