container house acca competition
container house Nowadays designing a house is not just about the comfort it creates, but about the spaces that bring that comfort to the occupant, and for every individual, comfort may have a different definition. By creating a dynamic space every need the occupant desires will be fulfilled and the most can be gained from a simple space. The Container House was the subject of the ACCA competition. The Requirements of the project were mainly the use of containers and some special requirements. By combining all the answers together an innovative and universal solution came to life that had all of the requirements included.
container house In order to design a dynamic house, two frames of rails were created so the containers could move freely. By attaching the omni wheels to the containers, they can move in every direction in the railings. The two networks are mostly similar, with one difference; In order to eliminate friction between the upper and lower containers, the upper containers hang from the railings. By using these frames, the ability to expand and add new containers/rooms to the house has gotten much easier. Adding a main column to the structure that holds up the upper network with cables and supports all the utilities enables the second storey to rotate independently.
container house By enabling the rooms to rotate and move, the house can be prepared for any occasion. This way it doesn’t matter where in the house you’re sitting, you can watch the sunset and enjoy the view from any room. The transition between a summer vacation house and a winter vacation house is now much easier. Simply by moving any of the containers out, an open space can be created to allow the natural flow of wind into the house. This way adding to the rooms wont be that hard either, simply by expanding the network of railings and adding more containers, rooms can be added.

CARICATURE MUSEUM
CARICATURE MUSEUM The Caricature Museum is designed as an urban space for people of all walks to enjoy. This museum promotes the outstanding art of caricature by letting people experience it both visually and physically. The idea of making an interactive urban space that has a museum hidden underneath it comes from the lack of green spaces in the heart of our modern and busy cities. Leveraging natural sunlight in internal spaces and brining the nature into the museum plays a big part in portraying a green but fun image.Â
CARICATURE MUSEUM The Organic shape of the plan comes from the free spirit that lies within the art of caricature. By designing different indoor gardens, other than brining in the natural light throughout the day, nature is being shown to the observer as a main part of the picture, each garden is different from the other and has a purpose of its own . Different views from different angles to the gardens and galleries gives the impression of the hidden thoughts behind each art work, each view being considered an artwork itself. The main structure is built under the ground with openings as entrances above the ground in order to make the most of the open space above as an interactive space for everyone named a Caricature Garden.
CARICATURE MUSEUM The variations between the elevations in a gallery and the connecting corridors creates exciting spaces and even more exciting views. These views are the main part of the museum, they are what makes the museum different from any other design. Framing the nature and man-made creations and viewing it from different angles is what makes the visit for the customer more interesting, it makes it a journey.

Teenager’s dream Educational & consulting center for teenagers
TEENAGER’S DREAM Teenager’s dream is an educational and consulting center for students to find their passion in life and to choose their right career path. At this complex the focus is on combining education and consulting services to resolve the problems and challenges the students face while picking a career path. The form of the building was designed based on the conditions of the site, mainly the noise disturbance. The curved shape of the complex, the small narrow windows and internal gardens help with keeping the environment quiet and peaceful so the students can focus on what’s important, themselves.
TEENAGER’S DREAM There are 5 main departments: Physical Education. Humanities. Sciences, Arts & Consulting. Every space in each department is designed according to the needs of the students. Every department has all the classrooms and spaces needed in order to ignite the passion and drive in students to go after their dreams. Libraries, IT facilities, amphitheaters, studios, etc., all are designed based on global standards and scientific studies. Since one of the main focuses at this center is consulting, the environmental psychology aspect of design has been considered.
TEENAGER’S DREAM All of the educational departments have their own dedicated consulting department focusing on the specific needs of the students. The Building was designed using the natural slope of the site, resulting in a perfect view from anywhere in the building and also taking advantage of natural daylight for every space. The main access paths in the complex are made to direct everyone to the consulting center which is the main concentration.
