Women of Worth A Sisterhood

WOMEN OF WORTH is a MOVEMENT for WOMEN to recognize how important they are, to themselves, and to others through this SISTERHOOD on the open road. I myself have struggled with many obstacles throughout my journey and through riding I have been able to grow so much more than I ever imagined. We are moving forward in 2020 and taking this MISSION on the road for open enrollment.

WOMEN OF WORTH will promote chapters all over the US and abroad for all WOMEN to join who own and operate their own motorcycles. This MOVEMENT will encourage, support, and cultivate your riding abilities. Myself along with Anna Czarnecka Rodriguez have joined together to form this unique SISTERHOOD and MOVEMENT of LIASIONS and ALLIES to promote a bond with WOMEN OF WORTH through our passion of the open road.

We Say Good Bye

Gary Dennis Tant

Gary Tant, 69, passed away at his home on Friday, February 7th. He was born in Nash County to the late Cecil david and Mollie Anderson Tant. Gary was the owner and operator of the Biker Barn. He served his country in the Army Reserves.

I first met Gary several years ago when I first started Behind Barz Magazine. The Biker Barn was one of my first advertisers. The Biker Barn has supported my business from day one! I can remember the first time that Gary advertised with me I left his phone number off of his ad. He never said a word about it. The very next issue I think I had his address incorrect. He never said a word about that either. That is the way gary was...easy go lucky, never complained, and nothing ever seemed to bother him. I am sure things did, at times. He was only human but he never showed it or talked about it. He always said, “It is what it is.” Gary was always the first one to pay and he always took the time to write me a note that he included with his check payment. That always meant a lot and I still have every one of those notes.

Gary and Gregg and Big Will at the Biker Barn triked my bike for me back in 2010. They didn’t have to but they did. They did an amazing job! I’ll always have my trike and when I ride I will think of Gary and the Biker Barn Crew!

In all those years I’ve known him I have never heard a bad word spoken about Gary Tant! He was truly one of a kind and made quite the impression on many folks because I have had several people contact me through email, Facebook, and snail mail wanting me to make sure that I include a memorial to him in Behind Barz Mag. Gary looked after his family, friends, and his customers. The biker world will never be the same.

He is survived by his wife, Ceily Tant of the home; children, Michael tant (Cathy), Sheri Lowry (Tony), Allison Glasson (Jeremy), Sarah Caudle (Jason), MaryBeth Aschenbrenner (Jack) and Dinger; grandchildren, George Crocker, Ty and Zack Gardner, Taylor, Joshua and Ryan Glasson, Ashtyn and Hadley Caudle, and Max Aschnbrenner; and last but certainly not least, The Biker Barn Crew.

Memorial contributions may be made to Santa’s Helpers. Please make checks payable to Travis Carter.
