01 BOYS DO CRY | 2018 topic master project mentoring Kriszta Remete, Natália Fábics | MOME

The main goal of the Boys do cry collection is to draw attention to the stereotyping of male and female roles, transformation the ”classic” male image based on the foundations of gender theories and costume history. The collection shows different male archetypes and mixes them with attributions often considered as non-masculine, opposing the expectations created by society.

01 DYSTOPIA PROJECT | 2017 topic coat and bag design mentoring Adrien Nagy, Judit Brada | MOME

The main inspiration for the DYSTOPIA collection were galactic dystopias and geometric shape constructions. You cand find multifunctional, practical yet experimental pieces among its winter clothes and accessories: a backpack which can be converted into a sleeping bag and a sportswear-inspired futuristic jacket.

02 EVERYTHING’S MAGIC | 2017 topic fashion and politic mentoring Hedvig Harmati, Emese Benczur, Balint Veres | MOME Capsule collection inspired by the 70s bohemian rock’n’roll vibe and the iconic personalities of Mick Jagger and David Bowie. The keywords of my concept were gender fluidity, sexual freedom and unisex design. On the other hand all of the garments were made of fabrics out of my granny’s 60s-70s wardrobe. Some of the garments were published in a fashion editorial for Schon! Magazine in 2017.

04 SO YOU WANT TO BE A ROCK’N’ROLL STAR | 2016 topic 2017 tavasz-nyári kollekció | önálló projekt publications Central European Fashion Week 2016, Marie Claire Fashion Days 2016 Fall The main inspiration of my collection and the name itself was the subcultural scene of the 70s-80s, especially the punk-rock subgenre of that time. First of all my works were influenced by the personality of ‘the godmother of punk’ Patti Smith. I tried to reflect on the dual nature of Patti’s persona - she’s a rock’n’roll star and a fragile, sensitive person at the same time. My aim was to express this duality in the language of textiles. The silhouettes were influenced by obviously the 70s-80s as, well. The research for this was centered around men’s jeans, leather jackets, denim jackets and bomber jackets, shirts, t-shirts, male-skirts, shorts and jeans. I wanted to redefine the meaning of “male-skirt” and the denim jacket and present them from a new aspect, which is more fashionable and innovative. My color-palette was inspired by the various blue and black shades of the French avant-garde painter Pierre Soulages and the American action painter Franz Kliene. They artworks defined also the fabrics like linen and heavy canvas effect denims.
