VetInfo, Inc. and Bass Pro Shops Recognized for VETERAN PROGRAMS

On March 8th, Mayor Christi Fraga and City Council honored VetInfo, Inc. and Bass Pro Shops Miami in the Doral Government Center (Council Chambers). VetInfo, Inc. received the Key to the City for their instrumental role in supporting those that have bravely served in the United States military and their families through events and programs.

Bass Pro Shops, was also honored with a special Proclamation for their many efforts that provide resources to veterans that improve their quality of life. Both organizations have collaborated regularly with the City of Doral to address the needs of veterans in our community.

Earth Month In Doral

Every Thursday from April 6th to April 27th at 5:00 PM distributed as follows: April 6th, storytime reading of “A Girl who raises Butterflies” by local Miami Author Mariel Ruiz-Escasena and a family-friendly Full Moon Yoga class on the Lawn; April 13th, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, miniworkshops for kids ages 2-17 years old and an electronics recycling activity; April 20th, nature focused arts and crafts and the release of native butterflies into a Butterfly Garden; and April 27th, educational hands-on interactive workshop to learn: “How to Start your Own Garden at Home”. All the events will be offered at Doral Glades Park, located at 7600 NW 98 Pl., Doral FL

Mes De La Tierra En Doral

Cada jueves del 6 al 27 de abril a las 5:00 pm en jornadas distribuidas de la siguiente manera: 6 de abril, la hora del cuento con la lectura de “A Girl who raises Butterflies” a cargo del autor Mariel Ruiz-Escasena y una clase familiar de yoga de luna llena en el césped; 13 de abril, de 4:00 a 6:00 pm, mini taller para niños de 2 a 17 años y una actividad de reciclaje de electrónica; 20 de abril, arte y manualidades inspirados en la naturaleza y la liberación de mariposas nativas en un jardín de mariposas; y 27 de abril, taller manual interactivo para aprender: “Cómo empezar tu propio jardín en casa”.

RIB FEST AT THE BERRY FARM

April 16th, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Berry Farm, located at 13720 SW 216th Street, Miami, FL 33170. Those who can’t resist ribs are invited to attend hungry to the Rib Fest competition. Featured eateries include Pig Floyd’s BBQ, 305 Barbecue, Golden Rule Seafood and La Playa Seafood & Bar. In addition, there will be live music by RadioStereo from 1 to 5 PM.
