WIRING TRUNKINGS AND ACCESSORIES

Wiring trunkings and accessories Produced in compliance with ČSN EN 50 085-1 (ČSN 37 0100) and further applicable standards, specifications, and approved documentation. Used material: hard self-snuffing polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with temperature resistance from -5 °C to +60 °C. The trunkings passed the resistance test to spread of flame in compliance with ČSN EN 50 085-1 §12.1. and ČSN 33 2312 čl. 2.10. KOPOS KOLÍN a.s. as the manufacturer recommends installing on and into construction materials with fire classes A1 to F according to ČSN EN 13 501-1. The trunkings are resistant to aggressive and chemical environment (see pg. 5-4). The trunkings not resistant to UV rays and they are not suitable for the outside environment. Covering grade up to IP 40. Only for low voltage use. Trunkings and accessories for trunking distribution frame are usually supplied in a white colour RAL 9003. Selected trunkings are offered in light grey or in wood imitation. Other color shades are available on agreement. All trunkings (except for LV 11X10) have fixing holes at the bottom. The trunkings are delivered in lengths of 2 and 3 meters with ±10 mm tolerance at 20°C.

Do not install the trunkings on the floor, it is not designed for stress e.g. crushing. Wiring trunkings and elegant wiring trunkings ...................................................................................................................................................................................... 2-27 The EKD 80X40; EKD 100X40; EK 120X40 and EKE 60X60 type trunkings are designed for insertion of more cables or for cables with greater cross-sections. Instrument boxes can be inserted directly into the EKE trunking body (100X60; 140X60; 180X60) and common types of instruments can be then installed. The individual conductors can be electromagnetically screened out by inserting the shielding trunking and prevent thus spurious effects. In the case of installation of the SK 40X33 shielding trunking (higher), instruments with greater mounting depth or instruments with over-voltage protection cannot be used. The producer recommends check the depth of the instrument before installation. They are installed to the level of window parapets or above the work tables. The instrument boxes can be inserted directly into the body of one-compartment trunkings (PK 110X70 D, PK 140X70 D a PK 170X70 D) and common types of instruments can be then installed. The PK 90X55 D one-compartment trunking and the bodies of two-compartment trunkings (PK 120X55 D a PK 160X65 D) are designed for installation of modular instruments 45 x 45 mm. The body of the PK 210X70 D two-compartment trunking has one compartment designed for installation of instrument boxes, to which common types of instruments may be subsequently installed, and second compartment for installation of modular instruments 45 x 45 mm. The individual conductors can be electromagnetically screened out by inserting the shielding trunking and prevent thus spurious effects. In the case of installation of the SK 40X33 shielding trunking (higher), instruments with greater mounting depth or instruments with over-voltage protection cannot be used.  Designed for installation of modular and standard devices 45 x 45 or 45 x 22,5 mm.  KOPOS recommends to install instruments from ABB, Legrand, PEHA, Schneider Electric and Simon connect.  Its design allows inserting shielding canals SK 40X ..., all kinds of partition walls, including metal ones, which serve as a shield, providing a great fixation of cables in the desired position.



KP PK instrument box with 8450 instrument washers are designed for mounting standard instruments and allow the installation of combined frames.

 Maximum number of modular instruments placed next to each other is 3 pcs.  When installing multiple instruments next to each, put about 5 cm wide piece of lid to fasten them.  No lids are necessary for the final installation of instrument. The lid is cut to the desired length and inserted next to the instrument.  Due to the above characteristics and cover integrity, this parapet trunking ranks among the products with the highest utility value offered by KOPOS KOLÍN a.s. in the area of parapet trunkings. This parapet trunking was awarded the Golden Amper diploma.

Wiring pipes and accessories The pipes and accessories are made in compliance with ČSN EN 61 386-1 ed.2 and IEC 61 386-1 ed.2, specifications and approved documentation. The PVC pipes and accessories passed the test of resistance against spread of flame in compliance with EN IEC 61 386-1. In compliance with ČSN 33 2312 can be used in flammability class A1 - F materials. Polyethylene pipes of type LPE 1 and LPE 2 with low and very low mechanical resistance can be used only for installing on/into class A1 non-inflammable materials. The pipes are intended for installation to the distribution of low voltage. Manufacturer reccommends the assembling of plastic pipes at the temperature over 0 °C. P I P E S

Adaptalok is a system of utilities allowing to terminate and fix the pipe. Utilities allow 45° and 90° tapping and direct threaded termination - M16 - M50 or PG13,5 - PG48. The pipe termination is available as for flange as well. Installation and removal is easy and quick. PA -40 - +105°C IP66 30 sec. 750 N/5 cm black RAL 9005 Utilities are equipped with removal part allowing to remove the termination easily and without breaking. 120 °C for a short term Adaptalok is tested in compliance with ČSN EN 61 386-24. There is possible to assemble it into the space of dangerous area 2 at the environment of hazard explosion and inflammable gases and vapors. Sales from 1 pc. Combination of utilities is driven by outside diameter of used pipe.

Couplings - slip-over couplings are the same for both types of pipes and are used to join the pipes. Sealing rings - the same for both types of pipes and are used to seal the joint to prevent it against humidity and water. Closing plugs - for blinding of backup lines and for temporary blinding of pipes when installing. Distance spacers - for position fixation of several pipes in one excavation. A system of divided cable ducts is suitable mainly for a protection of underground cable laying and for a laying-out of the energy and communication lines. Another possible application is a protection of already installed underground cables. The protectors consist of two identical parts. When installing, the cables are put in the bottom part and then the top part is snapped to the bottom one. The divided cable ducts are manufactured and tested in accordance with standard ČSN EN 61 386-24. Connecting of protectors is performed by overlapping joined lower parts with an upper part at length of approximately 30 cm.

Classification of construction products according to their fire class For the classification of construction products according to their fire class, the following tested procedure is used: Class E A product to be classified as class E, shall be tested in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 11925-2 using flame applied for a period of 15 s. Classes D, C, B A product to be classified in classes D, C or B, shall be tested according to ČSN EN ISO 11925-2 using flame applied for a period of 30 s. The product meeting the requirements for test results according to ČSN EN ISO 11925-2, is further tested according to ČSN EN 13823 or ČSN EN ISO 9239-1 - this applies to floor coverings. Classes A1, A2 Homogeneous products Product classified as class A1 shall be tested according to ČSN EN ISO 1182 and ČSN EN ISO 1716. Product classified as class A2 shall be tested in accordance with either ČSN EN ISO 1182 or ČSN EN ISO 1716. Non-homogeneous products Any substantial component of non-homogeneous product classified as class A1 shall be tested separately according to ČSN EN ISO 1182 and ČSN EN ISO 1716. In addition, each product containing external non-substantial component and meeting the PCS criterion is tested according to ČSN EN 13823 or ČSN EN ISO 9239-1 – this applies to floor coverings. Any substantial component of non-homogeneous product classified as class A2 shall be tested either separately according to ČSN EN ISO 1182 or ČSN EN ISO 1716. Non-substantial components of non-homogeneous products are tested separately, and only in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 1716. Another condition for class A2 All products to be classified as class A2 shall be also tested according to ČSN EN 13823 or ČSN EN ISO 9239-1 for floor coverings.

Until 31 December 2007 individual building materials were evaluated and graded according to ČSN 73 0862 "Determination of flammability of construction materials". This standard was discontinued as of 31 December 2003, but in order to ensure continuity in the evaluation of materials within the design standards, the results of the tests under this standard as well as the Value standard ČSN 73 0823 remained valid until 31 December 2007. According to this standard, construction materials were classified under the above classes. With effect from 1 July 2003 a new way of flammability classification became valid in the Czech Republic, known as "reaction to fire", summarized in the classification standard ČSN EN 13501-1. ČSN 33 2312:85 "Electrical regulations. Electrical equipment in and on flammable substances" allowed the use of conversion table to use both designations in relation to the flammability of construction materials. As of 1 October 2007 the provision of this standard was repealed for boxes in relation to the standard ČSN EN 60 670-1, i.e. the validity of ČSN 33 2312:85 was terminated for wiring boxes, but continues to apply to wiring trunkings, channels and pipes. The applicability of the standard ČSN 37 0100 "Wiring boxes" was terminated as of 1 October 2007. It has been replaced by ČSN EN 60 670-1 "Boxes and enclosures for electrical accessories for household and similar fixed electrical installations."

It is possible to protect the steel against corrosion by the following methods of surface treatments

ZNCR electrolytic galvanized products – Bichromatic galvanized – ČSN EN ISO 2081, DIN 12 330 electrolytic galvanized according to DIN 50 961 with a layer of zinc 10 µm +/- 4 µm (supports for the wall, fastening material, bolts, washers, nuts …)

Pre-Galvanized – ČSN EN 10 327, ČSN EN 10 143 galvanized steel Sendzimir: while cold the hot-rolled steelbelt goes after preparation through a continuous bath with liquid zinc. Through this, a layer zinc arises which guarantees the increased corrosion protection.

Hot Dip Galvanized – ČSN EN ISO 1461 The finished pieces made from bare (black) sheet metal are plunged in a melt-bath with liquid zinc, after pre-treatment, at a temperature of 450°C. After removal from the zinc bath a zinc/iron alloy layer system is formed on the bare (black) sheet metal, which is covered with a pure zinc layer. The thickness of the zinc-layer is 50 - 100 µm, depending on the material thickness.

non electrolytic plating The base of the DELTA surfacing includes Delta Tone 9000 materials. They are inorganic coats filled with zinc and aluminium micro-lamellas spread in a titanium binder. The method creates a cathodic protection coating the layer of which is 5-15 micrometer thick. This thickness of the layer provides better protection of metals than a thicker layer of zinc created by the zinc dipping method. The method conforms to the European Directive on recycling since it does not include any heavy metals and hexavalent chromium and it is also suitable for small parts. KOPOS KOLÍN supplies also bolts, nuts, couplings and other small connecting accessories with this surfacing and the company also carried out the salt fog test in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 9227 which proved that the coating was not damaged during the action of the salt fog for the period of 300 hours. The long-term temperature constancy is guaranteed up to 180 °C while the surfacing does not show any hydrogen fragility. Based on the above stated reasons we may fully recommend this method of surfacing as an alternative to the zinc dipping method.

ZN-Ni zinc-nickel coat – DIN 50962

T E C H N I C A L I N F O R M A T I O N

The thickness of coat is 8-18 microns. The products were tested by independent test institute. The test was done according to ISO 7253:2002-04:1982 in salt chamber, according to DIN 50017 in climatic chamber. After all test reanalyzes, the zinc-nickel process coating was elected as the one of most effective. Also comparing to hot dip galvanizing. Even the surface is thinner, requested anticorrosive protection is done.

Basic terms and concepts Flame-spread resistance (Self-snuffing ability): Flame-spread resistant products cannot flash or if they flash, they cannot further burn, when a source of flame is removed. The test is performed with exactly specified source of flame. Tested sample passed the test, if: - it didn’t flash - in case of fire, the flame or smouldering of the sample extinguishes within 30 s after the removal of the test flame and there will be no ignition of the silk paper nor the board underneath the test sample

The test is performed using flaming loop. Tested sample passed the flaming loop test, if: - no flame or lasting glow is visible - flames and glow on tested sample expire within 30 s after the flaming loop is removed - the silk paper didn’t flash and the board under tested sample isn’t chard

Tested sample passed the test, if the impress diameter caused by the ball doesn’t exceed given size under given temperature.
