What’s it like?

AMODERN 32-ROOM RESORT in the outskirts of Coron Town, facing a quiet cove dotted by luxury yachts and boats. The rooms are safari-themed, designed in soothing whites, beiges and browns, some with a private veranda. Funny Lion’s location makes it ideal as a luxurious base for island hopping, water sports and exploring the various beaches in Coron. The resort is 0.9 miles from Mount Tapyas and four miles from Kayangan Lake in Coron, and 30 minutes from Busuanga Airport.

Rooms

All rooms are about 25sqm, with the Cub Room furnished with two twin beds and pull-out bed for triple occupancy or for two adults and two children. The King Room of the same size has one king bed and a pull-out bed. The Pride Room, also 25sqm, has a veranda, one king bed and a pull out. All rooms are air-conditioned with flat screen cable TV, phone, coffee maker, electric kettle, mini fridge, hot and cold shower, safe, and free WiFi. All rooms are ensuite, with free toiletries, a hair dryer, and slippers. The bedlinen are top quality and immaculate.

Amenities

There are two in-house restaurants. The Hunt Restaurant, furnished in hardwood and antique furniture for an old world ambience, serves modern Asian cuisine and glorious seafood. The Pride Rock Deck on the resort rooftop, best for stunning sunset views, serves Filipino cuisine and offers a wide selection of wines and spirits, shakes and cocktails and gourmet coffee. The deck has an open air bath, with views of Coron Bay. Happy Hour is from 5pm to 7pm. Saturdays is grill buffet day, with the finest grilled dishes for only Php700 net per person.

Located right beside Hunt Restaurant is the resort’s infinity pool overlooking thick virgin mangroves and kayak trails. And to complete your relaxing hotel experience, the Sea Tree Spa is best for healing both soul and body, using traditional Filipino massage therapies and healing.
