Dugong Dive Center

Experience some of your best dives with the pioneers of scuba diving in North Busuanga, Palawan

DUGONG DIVE CENTER is manned by a group of dive masters, instructors, a marine biologist, and staff who are passionate about the conservation of the seas, and exploring Busuanga’s underwater world responsibly.

Named after the gentle giants found in the warm coastal waters of Busuanga, Dugong Dive Center is a pioneer of SCUBA diving in this part of Palawan. The center is composed of environmentalists and members of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary who have devoted the past two decades protecting Busuanga’s waters and reefs.

If a dugong is spotted, they usually surface every 4-5 minutes, so viewing starts from the boat, then later on by snorkelling to get a closer look. If the animal doesn’t shy off, then you get a chance to go on scuba with these amazing creatures.

Over the years, Dugong Dive Center has worked with international documentary crews, conservationists, and biologists to educate people about the wonderful yet endangered dugongs
