Talya Lieberman, soprano, is currently in her second year at Komische Oper Berlin. Among her roles there are Le Feu/La Princesse/Le Rossignol in L'enfant et les Sortilèges, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Frasquita in Carmen, Euridice in L'orfeo, Charmian in the Oscar Straus operetta Die Perlen der Cleopatra, The Infanta Isabella in Paul Abraham's operetta Märchen im Grand Hotel, and Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof. As Papagena in Barrie Kosky's worldwide production of Die Zauberflöte, she has traveled to Spain, Hungary, China, and will travel to South Korea and Japan this season. Talya received her training with the Merola Opera Program at San Francisco Opera, the Filene Young Artist Program at Wolf Trap Opera, Internationale Meistersinger Academy, and the Voice Program at Chautauqua Institution. She recently graduated from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she studied with William McGraw. www.talyalieberman.com
