Renovations at Jessie Davis Park are complete!
In 2021, residents approved a General Obligation Bond referendum to fund the design and construction of park improvements. The bond also supports future phases for the gymnasium, community center, and senior center. These upgrades will enhance the park’s offerings, creating more recreational opportunities for all ages. We look forward to our community stopping by to enjoy the new amenities!
The City of Douglasville Parks and Recreation Department has been honored with the prestigious 2024 Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). This national accolade highlights the department’s exceptional commitment to public parks, community recreation services, and innovative programming, recognizing it as one of the best in the nation. Douglasville’s win reaffirms the city’s dedication to creating a vibrant, healthy, and inclusive community for all residents.
