Our history Founded in 2013, PackBenefi (“PB”) is the world’s largest producer of sustainable and compostable cellulose trays for the food industry. PackBenefit provides unique, integral and sustainable solutions oriented towards food safety, offering products and services that encourage market development.

I+D+i Cellulose trays are the perfect definition of global packaging innovation. After more than 5 years researching and developing both the product and the machinery needed to manufacture them, the technology to produce cellulose trays has been successfully implemented and is available to the most demanding market. Our compostable containers are safe in the oven at 150°C for 45 minutes, passing the EU 10/2011 standard tests. In addition to food safety, they also offer advantages in the workplace, as the outer surface of PackBenefit trays does not heat up, thus avoiding burns during handling. In addition, the rigidity of the tray remains unchanged during exposure to high temperatures.

PackBenefit containers are also suitable for microwaves, operating perfectly for up to 5 minutes at 750W As in the conventional oven, the outer surface of the tray is not heated and the tray does not lose its stiffness.

The containers are suitable for freezers up to -30°C without altering the packaging or, of course, the organoleptic qualities of the food. They can go from the freezer directly to the oven or microwave without altering the performance of the tray.

PackBenefit offers not only recyclable solutions (recyclable as paper and cardboard) but they go a step further, are 100% compostable and can therefore be disposed of with organic waste by creating a quality compost as certified by OKCompost.

PackBenefit is registered in the Carbon Footprint, Compensation and carbon dioxide absorption projects of the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition. This means that our carbon footprint is published in a database as follows: -> 0.824 kg of CO2 per thousand units of finished product.

CHARACTERISTICS:
TITÁN It is designed to work mainly with large format trays and that is why stainless steels of greater strength have been used during irs production proccess. It is equipped with an electronic digital panel and a screen that allows to control the temperature and sealing time. The mechanically assisted clamping system guarantees a durable and reliable sealing, even with very large or several containers at the same time. With the minimum effort of the operator of the machine, we obtain a pressure of min. 120kg guaranteeing a reliable sealing. At FilmBenefit, we offer our customers a complete range of coatings approved by our Product Technical Department for the sealing of our trays.
SEALING FILMS Compos range What better way to complete the packaging of your products than with a compostable lidding film that makes that the 100% of the packaging (tray + film) can be disposed together with the organic waste? We have developed a complete range of films made from raw materials of natural origin. • FBCOMPOS100S. Perfect peelability and excellent oxygen barrier. Ideal for fresh products or takeaways that need to be able to separate the film lid from the tray easily. • FBCOMPOS200. Excellent peelability, great resistance to high temperature and very good oxygen barrier. Suitable for applications requiring baking or microwaveability. • FBCOMPOSFRESH. Weldable cover Film (not peelable) and excellent oxygen barrier. Suitable for fresh product applications.
Performance Sometimes we require a plus to our packaging being necessary to go to non-compostable films that allow us to reach certain properties that is not possible to get today with films of natural origin. For these cases we have developed solutions from raw materials of fossil origin with completely recyclable polyester final structures that reduce the environmental impact and that are perfectly compatible with our compostable containers: • FB12MONOPET24AF. Film of excellent transparency, peelability and half gas barrier. Withstands high temperatures incorporating anti-fog additive to avoid condensation on the inside of the film maintaining high visibility throughout the duration of the packaging. Suitable for applications requiring baking, microwaveability. • FB12APETPE5250. Peelable Film compatible with our trays in its compostable version and in its semicompostable version (trays internally linned with a poplypropylene film).
RIGID LIDS At FilmBenefit, we have also developed a full range of rigid lids to cover our trays when sealing film is not required. • Rigid lids made of r-PET (recycled polyster), with high clearness and excellent mechanical properties. • Designed with anchor clips that ensure firm locking, avoiding accidental opening of the trays. • Designed with a stacking system to prevent accidental sliding of piled trays. PLA rigid lids available upon request.
