ON-COURT PLAYING TESTS The pupil will be evaluated through a series of on-court playing tests meticulously designed by Josh Goodall. These tests will assess various aspects of the player’s skills, technique, and game strategies. PASSION FOR TENNIS Tennis should be the pupil’s primary and preferred sport, showcasing a genuine passion and enthusiasm for the game. A strong dedication to continuous improvement and a love for the sport are essential qualities we seek in elite tennis players. COMMITMENT TO FIXTURES The pupil must fully commit to participating in all Downe House tennis fixtures throughout the calendar year. Consistent participation in matches and tournaments will contribute to their overall growth as a competitive player. By meeting these criteria and demonstrating an outstanding level of dedication and skill in tennis, pupils may be invited by the Head of Racquet Sports to join the Tennis Performance Pathway.
The Pathway Programme includes Bi-weekly meeting with the Head of Racquet Sports to analyse lessons and fitness plans and set goals. Tournament/match scheduling.
