One day when my son Adam was two years old, he was sick and I was rocking him in the old rocking chair. As his little head rested on my shoulder, I began to sing him a lullaby to soothe him. Shortly afterwards, he lifted his head and put his little hand over my mouth and said, “Don’t sing, Mommy, please don’t sing.” That’s the day I found out I couldn’t carry a tune.
