A New Chapter

A New Chapter WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT

December is usually known to be a month of festivities where people gather to celebrate the holidays. It is a time of togetherness when people become nostalgic since they meet with old friends, family or acquaintances. The month also celebrates the end of the year at the same time looks forward to the new year ahead and what it brings. Denise P., founder of December Boulevard, wants to incorporate this unique feeling during that month into something worth sharing to fellow creatives. Thus, the idea for the magazine was born.

We HOPE you will find our first issue inspiring as we keep on moving forward.

“HOPE is a short word filled with endless possibilities ...Being able to hope is

courageous. ”

WISHFUL THINKING

WE ARE A CURE

Hope is waking up each morning ready to start a

Feeling tired of running round,

new day, unsure where it will lead.

Your feet feels like burning out,

As each day is brand new with something to offer.

All you need to do is stay,

Hope is being true to yourself and good deeds to

And cry that all to me, all your pain.

others. Only you can be your own best friend.

I’ve been there before even now,

Hope is the sunshine in your heart illuminating

There is something always makes me down,

pure happiness.

All i do is cry and say,

It is wishful thinking for a better world.

This is just now and will go away.

Hope is looking upon your child’s faces with pure love.

I know, there is nothing you cannot do,

Realizing how important being a parent is.

I believe in you,

Hope is taking time out for yourself.

Cause sometimes fighters are not that brave,

To stop and enjoy nature.

But stand with their faith.

Hope is the array in the rainbow showing us the way.

Scream so loud,

The pot of gold is all the kindness in one pot

fight those voice let it out,

floating worldwide.

Let your words be your rule.

Hope is everywhere within us.

Let us show what is love about,

Every small good deed makes a difference.

Help each other without a doubt, Cause it only us, we are a cure, For a better world.

POETRY

Many times I have lost Hope Occasionally I find Her Sometimes She hides Abductions have happened GPS has gone awry

When She’s on sabbatical or vacation or is focusing on someone or omething else I WORRY that I’VE GIVEN UP ON HER

Time for hope

or SHE’S GIVEN UP ON ME

Any length of Time Can seem like F-O-R-E-V-E-R but Hope always comes home.

And Sometimes That’s Hard For ALL OF US to Remember.

Reach for it

Soulful

I GOT KISSED AND I AM TELLING

On a certain Friday, I headed towards a pub called

I was not lonely in life.

‘The Local’ to watch my best friend Rohann

I had started living alone. Yes, I lived away from

Thomas Abraham perform. He plays in a band

the city centre making it difficult to catch up

called ‘The nice guys.’ It was the first time I was

randomly. Yes. But just because I was alone now

doing something like this in ages. We had a good

did not mean that I also had to be lonely.

night filled with some great numbers strummed and picked on the acoustics guitar by him. After he finished we drank a little bit and he got a little tipsy. And that is when it happened.

Just a single kiss on the cheek from him. That is all that I needed to spit it out that feeling of misery that I had been playing a host to. Rohann and I are very close but never had we ever hugged every time we met so this was a surprise.

That was the day I had hope. Yes, I had been alone and lonely. I was away from where my friends lived and my life’s greatest excitement was to experience a new day at work. There is no scope for us to be romantically involved. Don’t get romantically carried away folks.

But that day I knew that he cared about me as deeply as I did for him. He need a few shots to show it in that way maybe. But I was certain that

That was the only hope I needed.

Youth RELATABLE

You, me, him, her

Thoughts in our head, never connects in a sentence

Happiness, love, depression

Full of words that are to far to convince, lack of

All in once, one after another

guidance and now full of vengeance

But we still stand because our lives have a reason Too much stress, too much pressure Out there is someone special

Everything is just all a blur

Someone who can make you feel love more than

Can’t point out anymore what is the right answer

you can imagine

Who am I? What is my life for? I’m just a bother

Don’t give up, stand, for you are phenomenal Face the impossible, be the one no one has ever

How relatable and how nostalgic

seen

If only I thought to myself that life isn’t just tragic Not just me, not just you, nor him, nor her

Understanding and acceptance

So, you should enjoy your youth while you are still

Are hard to keep in balance

younger.
