TEXTILE inspiration
PATTERN inspiration
Name: Macto Natura {latin: magnify nature} Inspiration: Microscopic images of floral, plant leaves and insect wings Pattern Examination: Microscopic nature images inspired simple shapes during the initial design phase. The second phase was to create the overall pattern, which was discovered by duplicating the pattern four times with its mirrored image. During the coloration phase, it was realized the possibilities are endless, so only three were selected to help create the best options for the fabric construction. Fabric & Construction: {contrast or ombre coloration} screen printed onto linen/organic cotton blend fabrics with water-based, non-toxic inks {tonal blend coloration} hand-woven silk technique with water-based, non-toxic inks
