VIRTUAL PBIRDS In the P.B.I.R.D.S. program, boys and girls will learn the basic fundamentals of basketball, including passing, ball-handling, intangibles, rebounding, defense, and shooting. Participants will gain new skills and improve their game in a fun and friendly environment. In this virtual class there will be a DPR staff person leading you through different drills. To connect virtually participants will need a good internet connection, a functioning computer, and a phone or tablet device with a camera and microphone capability. The participant will only need a basketball, and open space to perform the drill. Don’t miss out on this unique experience. VIRTUAL YBSA-ADVANCED BALL HANDLING This Youth Basketball Skills Academy is an advanced ball handling program designed to elevate the confidence and ball handling skills for youth needing to be challenged to take their basketball game to another level. You will learn better one-on-one moves, and dribbling drills to be a more confident and effective ball handler. In this virtual class there will be a DPR staff person leading you through different drills. GOLF FOR BEGINNERS Are you new to the game of golf? Or do you need to shake some rust off your game? If so, join us at W.D. Hill Recreation Center for an introduction to golf. The course will cover topics such as hand grip, basic swing mechanics, and how to keep score. Once this class is over, you will be ready to hit the links!
