About WHOM

WHOM - Wives of Heads of Mission Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

WHOM is a diplomatic association of wives of heads of Mission.

The aim of our social group is: • to provide support to its members during their husbands’ accreditation to the Kingdom, • to help them to settle in and find new friends in a new environment, promoting international partnership, friendship and appreciation amongst its members, • to enable a better understanding of the culture and society of our host country.

We are dedicated in promoting social activities to introduce our members to the culture and to the past, present and future of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Our association was founded as “AWA - Ambassador’s Wives Association” 20 years ago and later became WHOM and would shortly change again in view of the arrival of the first female Heads of Mission to the Kingdom.

During these last years, the Kingdom has made giant steps forward into the future, thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques HRH King Salman and HRH Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman.

The Kingdom’s leadership literally has made possible what looked impossible just a few years ago and showed us how with ‘’Inshallah and with a bit of commitment’’ everything is possible! WHOM has been able to experience first-hand this transformation in the past two years and has had the opportunity to engage directly both Saudi istitutions and its people in line with the Vision 2030 commitments.

Following these changes in the Saudi society, we have opened the Instagram (@whom_riyadh) and Twitter (@RiyadhWhom) to let people know more about our activities – just to mention some: Universities visit, and NEOM visits sponsored by MOFA/the Saudi Design Week/the Saudi Fashion Week/the cooking classes kindly offered by Marriott/art events/ charity events/International Women’s Day with great Saudi women- and also about us, our WHOM interview with pictures about our countries and inspirational mottos from each member are a success on social!
