Future Palestine

US-Israeli denial of truth and future Palestine -Dr. Abdul Ruff

________

Of course, fortune of Palestine cannot be bleak as it has been all the way primarily because UN has made it a defacto to UN member without voting power. We are not talking about the future of Palestine because thus far our good wishes and demands for a soverign Palestine have not been considered seriously by Israel. Rather, we are concerned about future Palestine that would exist in Mideast. Present Palestine even with defacto membership of UN is unable to defend its people and territories from enemy attacks emanating out of Israel dutifully backed by America’s UN veto. Future Palestine is the concern of the world and UN. With backing from USA and some more anti-Islamic nations in Europe and elsewhere, Israel continues to terrorize the Palestinians, besieged between Israel and Egypt, killing them in hundreds and thousands and confiscates their lands for the construction of illegal Jewish settlements. A peaceful end to the decades-old bloody conflict between Palestine and Israel is certainly tenable and is obviously a two-state solution and this has long been indicated by statesmen globally and in surveys of public opinion among both populations. The two-state solution also continues to enjoy widespread support even among members of Israel’s parliament. Recently at a conference of “Parliamentarians for Peace” in Tokyo, Hilik Bar, Deputy Speaker of the Israeli Knesset and secretary-general of its Labor Party, noted that the final status of the Palestinian territories and sovereignty over them should be settled in accordance with the principle of “two states for two peoples”. That would ensure a soverign Palestine and credible peace between them as well as in Mideast. Creation of much delayed Palestine state is of course essential for achieving a twostate solution that the UN Security Council, including its five members with permanent vetoes, and major Middle East powers sign off with guarantees that thee are no terror attacks on Gaza Strip and no more toy attacks on Israel will be launched from Palestine before this initiative can proceed safely.

The Middle East’s prime and crucial Palestinian issue seems has become a submersion story. Israel is the strongest military power of Mideast with illegally gotten nukes and threatens Arabs with wars and terror attacks. The Zionist leadership keeps fooling the Palestinians and world at large on the issue as there are pro and anti-peace leaders in the coalition which is not for a credible attempt for genuine peace. Efforts to obtain his commitment to the diplomatic process are being thwarted now by Education Minister and leader of the pro-settlement Jewish Home party Naftali Bennett, who is dead set against a two-state solution. The military prowess and US back-up embolden Israel to ignore call from international community to end military expansionism and genocides in Palestine Criminal minded but handsome looking and US English educated Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu continues to bully the Palestinians in the name of bogus talks and confuse the world about the imminent establishment of Palestine and peace in the region. Netanyahu with his English education in USA appears to be overlooking voices of many of his Likud Party moderates on the issue. Normal good neighborly relations are good between Israel and Palestine but that could be possible only when Palestinians also enjoy equal rights and equal status in West Asia. Every Zionist ruler so far has shown hated for Arabs and Palestinians because only that way the criminal Jews could be stitched together to serve the cause of the Jewish state and attack Palestinians. . Another handsome man Shimon Peres, former president of Israel and a founding leader of Israel in 1948 on Palestinian lands and a feeble hopeful voice for a tw0state solution, died in September with his dream unfulfilled because he was not sincere enough and did not press for the creation of Palestine state and in fact let Israel military attack Gaza strip and proliferation of illegal Jewish settlements in Palestine.

The two-state lobby, although facing many challenges, could ultimately be successful in realizing the supposed dream of Peres and his steadfast belief that Israel welcomes the historic struggle to forge democratic, peace-loving governments in its region. But he refuses to believe that Israel is a criminal state pouncing upon Palestinian children and drink their blood. That is indeed the Zionist problem.

In the tumultuous confusion of the on-going Syrian and refugees crisis and the socalled Islamic State (IS) movement in the Middle Eastern countries world, for sure, cannot be safe for anybody..

Israel is enjoying the terror wars and ISIS fighting as they offer enough time to concentrate on illegal settlement proliferation. Israel and Jews are the cause of terrorism in the world. The fascist state of Israel that employs terror as an effective tool to attack the Palestinians and threaten Arab world, has, thanks to safe western umbrella, no reason to worry about any punitive measure for it ghastly crimes. While earlier Israel targeted only the young Palestinians, now even children are not spared as Jews are fond of their blood as well. Interestingly, to the enjoyment of Israel and Jews in Israel and USA, the world media, fueled by Jewish specialists, has cunningly directed its attention away from the owes and sufferings of the Palestinian people, to concentrate its attention to taming of terrorism around the world. Israel claims its prerogative to kill the Palestinians children so that there won’t be future Palestinian generation. USA understands the Zionist criminal strategy and aids its military. The first ever black president of USA also has done the same.

Israel questions the Palestinian rights of existence as neighbors or a free and safe land of their own and therefore is busy in finding ways and means to deprive the Palestinians of their right to live, continues hammering on the head of the innocent and unfortunate Palestinian people.

III

The unexpected victory of the Republican hawk Donald Trump in the recently concluded US presidency election is seen by Israel as opportunities to further cower the Palestinian people by its terror authority and dodge them for fighting for their genuine rights of a free country for long. In order to thwart peace talks Israeli government keeps expanding illegal settlements inside Palestine as the peace talks are progressing it would announce a new plan to construct settlements in West Bank Bennett recently encouraged advancing additional development plans in the West Bank settlement of Beit El, saying that the “dream” is that the West Bank will be part of “sovereign Israel.” Others responded that “his dream and the minority he represents is Israel’s nightmare,” but Bennett could still bring down the government. Israel is happy about destabilization of Mideast and murder or threatening of Muslim rulers by US led NATO. Also, Israel is over joyous about the Brexit as a divided Europe would be its terror advantages. It is eager to make full use of new developments and defend its illegal occupational strategy.

Emboldened by Republican wins in the recent American elections, Bennett and other right-wing Knesset members have called anew for the abandonment of a two-state solution, claiming that the “combination of changes in the USA, in Europe and in the region provide Israel with a unique opportunity to reset and rethink everything.” Israel does not think any American ruler would dare cut the strategic ties with Israel and on the contrary, would always promote Israel with supply of additional terror goods, as the strong power in the region for IUS advantages. President-elect Donald Trump has just nominated David Friedman as ambassador to Israel. Friedman’s opposition to the two-state solution foreshadows a major shift in Washington’s policy, which has been the basis for US and international diplomacy for decades as the best route to sustainable peace. Till now USA-Israel fascist twins believe peace in Mideast is possible only by killing the Palestinians and they continue with expansionism to proliferate illegal proliferation of colonies inside Palestine. “This nomination is reckless, putting America’s reputation in the region and credibility around the world at risk,” says Jeremy Ben-Ami, president of the Washington-based J Street, a liberal Jewish Middle East policy group dedicated to the two-state outcome. “US senators should know that the majority of Jewish Americans oppose the views and the values this nominee represents.”

Rabbi Rick Jacobs, president of the large Union for Reform Judaism in the United States concurs, expressing concern about Friedman’s personal connection to a number of terror related organizations committed to building additional settlements in the West Bank, thereby effectively block peace talks and Palestine state. “We continue to believe—as have both the American and Israeli governments for a generation—that only a two-state solution will allow Israel to remain both Jewish and democratic while also addressing the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinians.” If Bennett and the extremists leave the government, some other parties will step in to promote a peace treaty. We will act responsibly.” The two-state lobby, with over 40 members, is the largest one in the Knesset. The pressure they will apply can be an important factor, particularly when the Arab Initiative 2002 is being put on the agenda once again.

Since 2002, when the Arab Initiative was first launched in the Knesset, successive Israeli governments with excessive terror goods and nukes in command and with US backing for crimes against Palestinians have not taken it seriously, despite the reality that over 50 Arab and Muslim countries support it. This Zionist arrogance is seen as a major diplomatic mistake because it shows contempt and disrespect for the entire Arab world, and more importantly, for the chance for peace.

The two-state lobby in Israeli parliament has taken a number of steps to promote the concept, including writing US Secretary of State John Kerry to promise that the lobby group would support his efforts in the Knesset, meeting with chief Palestinian negotiator Nabil Shaath, and also meeting with Saeb Erekat, Senior Palestinian official to suggest that Palestinian Chairman Abu Mazen be requested to drop all preconditions for talks. However unconditional talks cannot ensure peace at al.

IV

America is a thing you can move very easily, move it in the right direction.” This quote from current Israeli PM Netanyahu speaking to illegal Israeli settlers in the West Bank in 2001 shows why Americans would do well to educate themselves as to how they can be so easily moved when it comes to the Palestine-Israeli conflict. This is why Students for Justice in Palestine will be screening “The Occupation of the American Mind: Israel’s Public Relations War in The United States.” The film sheds light on the mainstream media’s role in creating a pro-Israel narrative. Tune into most mainstream news outlets and you will find much more coverage in line with the Israeli narrative that ignores the Palestinian perspective. As a result, it leaves Israel’s human rights abuses largely unchallenged on the air. If they are challenged, they may be dismissed by the anchor and will usually go back to a core talking point. Any American who follows the news will hear regular accounts of Palestinians committing acts of violence. Israeli government officials and spokespeople will be called on the air, and the message will reaffirm Israel’s right to defend itself. However, these news stories tell us almost nothing about why this violence exists in the first place. The media leads us to believe that Palestinians are inherently violent, anti-Semitic terrorists who cannot accept Israel as a Jewish state. Yet the media ignores subjects that effect Palestinians every day: the military occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, the continued expansion of illegal Jewish-only settlements in Palestinian territory, home evictions and demolitions by the Israel Defense Forces, the separation wall, military checkpoints, bombing campaigns and the utter denial of Palestinians’ most basic human rights. This elision of context is the essence of what is called “Hasbara,” or “explanation” in Hebrew. As the magazine Haaretz explains, “Hasbara” is a form of propaganda on an international scale, sanctioned by the Israeli government and primarily aimed at western countries and is meant to influence conversation in a way that positively portrays Israeli policies. “Hasbara” targets political elites and the public

simultaneously through the mass media, and is carried out by government agencies, nonprofits, lobbying groups, students, journalists and bloggers. Popular discourse about Gaza provides one good example of the effectiveness of “Hasbara.” Many argue that Israel withdrew all its settlements from Gaza in a gesture of good will and peace, when all they got in return was Hamas firing rockets at them. Israeli officials have repeated this go-to talking point in the midst of Israel’s horrific bombing campaigns on the Gaza Strip in 2008 and 2014. Given this set of facts, one would be inclined to side with Israel. However, reality paints a different picture. The fact is that Israel never left the Gaza Strip. They withdrew their settlements, but they retain complete control over Gaza through land, air and sea; the Israel Defense Forces use giant walls, watchtowers, gun boats and military aircraft overhead. No Palestinian is allowed in or out of Gaza without Israel’s permission – for this reason, Gaza is often compared to an open-air prison. With these important details left out, Americans are left with only the proIsrael narrative to refer to when forming their opinions. The arguments raised in this submission are explored in greater detail in “The Occupation of the American Mind: Israel’s Public Relations War in The United States.” The film takes a close look at pro-Israel public relations efforts inside the U.S. and shows how the Israeli government, the U.S. government and pro-Israel advocacy groups work together to direct U.S. mainstream media coverage in favor of Israel and against Palestinians. The myth of Arab Muslim victimhood is cheap propaganda stemming from the failed Arab attempts to destroy Israel, and drive its Jewish population “into the sea.” The anti-Israel left continues to pander to the irrational, bigoted demands of the Middle East’s Arab Muslim majority to suppress the region’s only non-Muslim state, in favor of yet another Arab Muslim country. That blatant disregard for the rights of anyone who is not an Arab Muslim is precisely the reason why the Jews of Israel had to fight for national independence. The mere existence of Israel proclaims the national rights of the Jewish INDIGENOUS population of Israel; a country and a people that predate Arab colonialism and will outlive it as well. Arab victimhood is real, but it is mostly due to Palestinian Arab leadership. With all the Arab wars against the Jewish State, and after subsequent defeats, they created the doctrine of the limited-liability war. Under this theory, an aggressor may reject a compromise settlement and gamble on war to win everything in the comfortable knowledge that, even if they fail to win, they may insist on reinstating the status quo in the original 1948 UN Mandate Partition Resolution. Every Hamas rocket fired into Israel’s civilian populations is an act of war and a war crime, and even a bigger crime to the Palestinian people, knowing that Israel is going to return fire with superior fire power. Yet Hamas does this over and over and

over again. Israel has early warning sirens for incoming rockets, but it forces thousands of Israeli parents to grab their children and run for bomb shelters. The results of Israel’s response are then used for Arab propaganda at the expense of victimizing their own populations. To add to your other point– Besides Israel, no other ethnic or religious minorities have the full right of self determination in the Middle East. As far as the far left is concerned, I don’t get it. No Islamist (as political right as you can go) would ever support any liberal causes, to include a woman’s right to choose, gay rights, the right to change your religious philosophy, or even the right of freedom of expression to a cartoonist. Yet the far left wants to single out Israel for human rights violations and BDS in a sea of Islamic Countries with abysmal human rights records. Why not just boycott the entire Middle East? I am fine with boycotting Israel or having them go before an international Court, as long as every other Country in the region has to live up to the very same standards of human rights. The Palestinians who had nothing to do with the anti-Semitism Jews had to endure in Europe were all of a sudden made to pay the price, by being thrown off their land by mostly these Eastern European Jews escaping bad treatment in Europe. These Jews acted like colonialists toward those living there must be understood. For anyone to think these Europeans somehow owned another peoples’ county or land is, as known from historical experience in the USA, is not the most moral choice. We know, or someday we will know, Zionism, a political entity of superiority of one people over another is wrong. We know a manifest destiny is wrong. Fanatic Jews claim the banner of Islam flies over 99.9% of the Middle East land mass, and 1.5 million Palestinians live in Israel proper as citizens on land that are ethnically cleansed. Every last Jew was removed from Gaza 11 years ago by Israeli regime. Hypocritical activists say it would be better for peace if the West Bank (birthplace of David, Solomon, and Jesus) were free of Jews because they harassed the prophets. The fact is that before 1967, Israel was a constant target for Arab terrorism before there was a single Jewish settlement in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Hamas: No Muslim shall rest until the banner of Islam flies over every inch of the land. Jews calm to have lived in the region that is now called Israel for thousands of years and that it is the historic and ancestral homeland of the Jewish people. Why was it wrong for Jews to flee persecution and violence aimed against them in Europe, Russian and the Arab world to move to what was then Ottoman Palestine or British Mandate Palestine, when it is perfectly ok for Arabs and Muslims to flee wars and head to the United States and Europe? Can you imagine if Americans and Europeans started violent riots to kill and maim Muslim and European refugees as

the Arabs did to Jewish refugees starting in the 1920s who fled to what was then British Mandate Palestine? The Jews who fled to the region in the early 20th century did not kick out any Arabs/Palestinians. They actually bought land from the Ottomans and others, but nationalistic Arabs did not want them there and attacked and started riots. This then resulted in the creating of Jewish defense units. The British tried to keep the peace before their mandate expired in 1948, but the Arabs never gave up their goal of expelling the Jews. That is why they refused to accept the UN partition of the land between Arabs and Jews in 1947 and started a war that continues to this very day. The hypocrisy and lack of knowledge of the facts contained in your post is striking. The author and the “film (which ironically is nothing more than anti-Israeli propaganda) he is promoting both conveniently fail to mention or address the following important facts about the ongoing conflict between Israel/Jews and the Palestinians/Arabs: The seemingly endless Jewish and Israeli state violence and terrorism against Palestinian and Arab nations. It is notable that Israel always manages to provoke the Palestinians to retaliate by toy rockets into empty lands. The Jewish violence started long back and even before the creation of Israel in 1948. USA and Israel got the Arab nations for a war to make the Zionist strong and wars broke out in 1948, 1967, and 1973, ably supervised by USA in favor of Israel. Airplane hijackings, murders at the Olympics, bombings aimed at restaurants, nightclubs, buses, stabbings, shootings etc made Israel strong and heroes. The sophisticated and well funded anti-Islam and anti-Arab propaganda organizations promoted a nuke Israel. Hamas, which is the elected rulers in control of Gaza, is the target of Israeli military ostensibly because they are sworn to the destruction of Israel as a state and the expulsion of Jews from the region. Hamas started the most recent war with Israel by launching harmless toy missiles. Material support for terrorism is also terrorism. Threatening the Palestinians with aggression is also terrorism. Hamas would be one such example. It conducts terrorist attacks against Israel with one part of its organization while running propaganda endeavors with another. Propagandizing for Hamas (as this film does) to support Hamas outreach programs would allow Hamas to use propaganda money elsewhere; and it would allow Hamas to not have to reduce funding for its terrorist activities.

So, thanks once again to Omar Mansour (the local Hamas propagandists) for making it easier for Trump’s NSA to track your activities and Session’s Justice Department to prosecute your material support propaganda campaign. Great job, SJP terrorism-enablers! The Old City of Jerusalem is divided into four quarters – The Jewish Quarter, The Armenian Quarter, The Christian Quarter, and The Muslim Quarter. Just guess who are the only ones who don’t get along??? It is important to note that the first enduring Jewish agricultural settlement in the Modern Palestine was founded not by European refugees, but by a group of oldtime families, leaving the overcrowded Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem. According to the Turkish census of 1875, by that time Jews already constituted a majority of the population of Jerusalem and by 1905 comprised two-thirds of its citizens. The Encyclopedaedia Britannica of 1910 gives the population figure as 60,000, of who 40,000 were Jews. In 1878 they found the village of Petah Tikva in the Sharon Palin, a village that was to become known as the “Mother of Jewish Settlements” in Palestine. Four years later a group of pioneer immigrants from Russia settled in Rishon le-Zion. Other villages followed in rapid succession. All land sales, under the Ottoman Empire, had to be approved by Islamic Courts. Non Muslims paid extra taxes, therefore it was good business. Most amazing stat of all – 197 Nobel Peace prize winners have been Jewish – 12 have been Muslims.. That means 16 million people have done more for the world than 1.6 billion…Thank God for the Jews… There is no doubt that this tiny minority of Jews has contributed much to the world, including this e-mail technology that we are using right now. However, you cannot take Nobel Prizes or lack of Nobel Prizes into an international Court of Law when sorting out a balanced scale of justice in these specific cases. To your other point, God is a concept not a physical entity, which is why every cultural has a different idea about the concept. The one concept we can all agree on is Santa Claus, so have happy holiday don’t fight over who has the true spoken word of God, because every religion takes that claim (falsely) Conflict between east and west in the middle east is as old as history itself. The west, the Greeks, was fighting the east, the Persians, in 1000 BC. (I was a math student and my knowledge of history is not the best, so additions/corrections to what follows are welcome.) The conflict has been more or less continuous since that time, going through various transformations, and continues to the present day.

After the Greeks fought the Persians, the Romans fought the Persians, and then with the advent of Christianity and Mohammedanism the Christian West fought the Muslim East, with a great give and take with the Muslims conquering northern Africa and parts of Spain, and then falling back. This back and forth went on for centuries. The Crusades in the Middle Ages were a continuation of this conflict. The British colonized the Muslim countries in the 1800s. The latest variation began when the United Nations, created to solve conflicts between nations on the basis of justice and respect for all, ignored 3000 years of history and every principle of justice and fair play, and as their first act created the apartheid state of Israel in the middle of Arabia. The wars continue to this day, with the US military dropping 25,000 bombs/year on the Middle East. Of course, the United States and Israel have the capacity to drop just one bomb and end any war in the Middle East. But they won’t because they want to sell terror goods and wars must go on. .
