The Sting of Moral Clarity Thanks for having the interest and taking the time to click on the article link. OK, here’s what’s what with my work and my estate:
• I made The Life You Can Save Pledge. • I became an Accidental Humanitarian - I started with working with a friend in Tanzania, which started my founding and running the Center for Global Initiatives, as an unpaid volunteer – providing tools, always free all the time, with the philosophy that should not be so hard to do good in the world, hold an outcomes focus, and do what we call Open-Sourcing Humanitarian Intervention. We continue to be a 100% allvolunteer nonprofit. All funds go to the work of the Center. If you are so inclined, thank you (I. Hate. Fundraising.) you can support us by donating here. And, seriously, thank you. • I created a Fellowship and Certificate program that provides all the course materials free of charge, and all faculty are pro bono. • We personally downsized twice, and the last time we moved we were able to fit everything in the space of one garage stall after we gave away most of our stuff and have adopted a minimalist lifestyle.
• I have donated 100% salary since 2021 and I hope to continue to do so for as long as I can. • I created Summits For Others. • I published Why Global Health Matters (with Nobel laureate Jody Williams) and all proceeds go to support the Center. • I endowed a scholarship at Purdue for undergraduates. • We purchased land in the area to prevent development and keep as conservation and natural habitat. • I curate/edit the monthly LinkedIn Newsletter, Tools for Change. • I created 52 Ways to Change the World. • I developed the Consortium for Humanitarian Intervention. • We will be donating 30% of our estate upon death to our partner in Tanzania for his work:
And good for you if you’re considering taking the challenge to doing more to help others! I’m happy to discuss this kind of thing further, if you’d like to, please email me personally at DrChrisStout@gmail.com and we can talk. Thank you for all you do! Chris https://linktr.ee/drchrisstout
