I want to home my skills and a more hand made creative and really get back into the thick of creating a high intensity of quality work. RESEARCH ACTIVITY:
Deadline BREIF 1 ZINES Details I used my quick work flow and reliance on sketchbooks to create a series of zines which I went on to improve in quality and function while continuing to make them to help focus on both my drawing ability and making ability. Its not enough to just draw for them, the composition much be correct and the end product has to be of a high quality
RESEARCH ACTIVITY:
Deadline BREIF 2 -‐ COMP Details This was a competition brief where I focused mainly on secret7, It was a way for me to get my name out there and noticed in a competitive scene while also trying to focus on a new way of working and developing my practice even further and adding new skills to me set range. I did a collaboration for a zine and also a page for a colouring book but they were very straight forward and easy additions just to pass the time, they didn’t add much to my practice as a whole RESEARCH ACTIVITY Deadline BREIF 3 – TATTOO FLASH Details A brief that originally was meant to focus on two colour screen prints found itself resolved with large scale pencil based drawings. This was the better way to go with the project it allowed me to create some of my strongest work to date while focusing on a part of my practice that im most passionate about in pencil drawings RESEARCH ACTIVITY Deadline BREIF 4 -‐ BRAND Details To create a brand of GRIMGUTS and use that as an umbrella for the offshoot PLAYNICE, to produce work I want to produce to take it into the product range I’m interested in. Mainly working on merchandise such as t-‐shirts and stickers then taking that forward in skateboard design and large scale murals. RESEARCH ACTIVITY Deadline BREIF 5 -‐ BAR Details To create/ design and mock up a range of craft ale cans to be sound in independent and commercial bars. Aimed and lovers of craft ale and fans of BEAVERTOWN and FLYINGDOG. Showcase how my work can be applied to many different ranges and products while still producing quality finished products.
