Self-Esteem…What is it?  Self-esteem refers to the way we see and think about ourselves.  It is how we perceive our value to the world and how valuable we think we are to others.


Self-Esteem‌What’s it made of? Self-EsteSelf esteem is build upon the thoughts and feelings you have about yourself. It is a self-evaluation, an opinion of who you are, build on experiences in your life and the conclusions you made, whether or not under pressure of peers.

You do not feel the need to adapt your views, values or behavior to meet the expectations of others.


High self-esteem allows you to accept that others will often disagree with you. You feel no need to worry about disagreement as everybody is entitled to their own views.


If you have low self-esteem you may get anxious or flustered when someone challenges your opinion or actions. High self-esteem allows you acknowledge the challenge and put your argument across without the need to concede or the fear of disapproval.
