Cinema centre
A cinema centre as a part of the never completed cultural centre for Skopje. The design for this cultural centre dated from after the earthquake in 1963. This cultural centre is design by a Slovenian architecture practice and was designed to have an opera house, cinema, theatre, music school and a bank building. The Cinema and the opera house were never built. The project brief was to design a cinema centre that will take the original site location but will answer today’s needs. The cinema building for 1200 visitors was designed to have a visual connection with the existing theatre building just next to it but also to have an identity on its own.
