A NEW NAME… Same fun event! POWWOW (Promoting the Winning Warriors of Walsh Jesuit), will now be known as The Warrior Gala. This year the Warrior Gala will be a virtual event with an auction and Corvette Raffle drawing that raises much needed funds to benefit ALL students of Walsh Jesuit. As we continue to grow and be more inclusive, The Warrior Gala better reflects the values of the Walsh Jesuit community. Plan to join us Saturday, April 24, 2021 for Warrior Gala 2021!
We begin this year’s Warrior Gala (formerly POWWOW) fundraiser at a point of GRATITUDE. We are very grateful to God for all we have. We are grateful for the health and safety of the Walsh Jesuit community. We are grateful to the teachers, administration, maintenance department and staff for all that has been done this school year to keep our students learning in person and virtually. We are grateful for Walsh Jesuit Alumni and their families. The Warrior Gala is Walsh Jesuit’s premier fundraiser. Your generosity in “Supporting our Jesuit Mission”, the Warrior Gala ‘21 theme, generates proceeds directly to the Warrior Fund. The Warrior Fund ensures the Walsh Jesuit experience continues to flourish and attract a strong and well-rounded student body while maintaining essential capital improvements and extracurricular activities. They are a good way to meet other parents virtually, learn more about the Warrior Gala and help us raise money for auction items. Walsh Jesuit High School and our team of chair leaders are ready to have some great energy for you as the commitment to Jesuit mission comes alive in 2021! We have a new name—the Warrior Gala—and a new remote-format as we charge into the new Gala year. What better theme than to demonstrate our re-commitment to Supporting our Jesuit Mission as we all prepare to celebrate the next in line of our great gatherings! Walsh Jesuit will virtually host one of the premiere fundraising events in Northeast Ohio on April 24, 2021. We recall the many great families who have contributed in so many ways to the past successes of POWWOW---then hear the words of our students and families as we march forward with the goal of keeping both outstanding programming and assisting the many families at WJ who need financial assistance. Under the leadership of Patti Clair, Vice President of Advancement, and a full complement of superb student and adult volunteers, this year promises to be another special event in the long line of Walsh Jesuit celebrations. Maureen Mohlenkamp, returns again this year and her husband, Mike, join co-chairs Debbie and Andy Harding, and Jill and Frank Ziegler to lead the effort to keep the finances strong during a challenging economic time. Their energy for mission is contagious and there is plenty of time
for you to join their team as you will see in the pages that follow. They have already worked hard to lay the groundwork for a great weekend by inviting others to support the mission as they made the calls for corporate sponsorship support. The Ron Marhofer Auto Family returns as title sponsor of the entire event and has provided a brand-new Torch Red 2021 Chevy Corvette Stingray with a mid-engine design for the raffle. As parents, they are committed to their son receiving a well-rounded education and being a part of a spiritual and nurturing community. Debbie supports her love of animals through her work at the Humane Society and is an avid runner having completed 19 plus 1 virtual Boston Marathons and 14 Akron Marathons.

Andy is an East Coast transplant working as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch in Bath. He is passionate about education and how education can be life changing. Andy is an Emeritus Board member and member of the Foundation Committee at Old Trail School.
FRANK AND JILL ZIEGLER are excited to be co-chairs of this year’s Warrior Gala! Frank owns Ziegler and Associates, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC. Frank is a Private Wealth Advisor and Jill is the Marketing Manager with the firm. Frank and Jill live in Aurora and have two daughters, Cate who is a 2019 graduate of WJ and currently attending The Ohio State University, and, Grace, who is a senior at WJ this year.
