D R A S T I K F A M I L Y w a s b o r n t h r o u g h t h e C a p a r r ó s f a m i l y, w h i c h h a s l i v e d b y and for the shoe from its beginning, with over 60 year s of experience in t h e s e c t o r. I n 2 0 1 3 , t h e y d e c i d e t o c r e a t e t h e b r a n d D r a s t i k t o s h a p e a s e t of innovator ideas in the footwear world.

D R A S T I K F A M I LY 1.1 HISTORY L i k e a l l b i g b u s i n e s s e s , t h e s t o r y b e g i n s i n a h u m b l e f a m i l y, w i t h h a r d l y a n y e c o n o m i c r e s o u r c e s b u t w i t h a b i g e n t e r p r i s i n g p e r s o n a l i t y. T h a n k s t o t h e b i g e f f o r t , Juan Caparrós Zamora and his wife Aurora Mar txina, achieve to create around 1959 one of the first factories in Elche which operated abroad. After several hard years, they r e a c h t h e t o p o f t h e s e c t o r, a n d a c h i e v e t o b e n u m b e r o n e i n m e n ’ s p r o d u c t i o n u n d e r the name of “Calzados Caparrós”. When they were in the highest and due to an illness of Juan Caparrós, the entity decides t h e c e s s a t i o n o f t h e a c t i v i t y.

A f t e r s e v e r a l y e a r s o u t o f t h e s e c t o r, J u a n C a p a r r ó s (Juan and Aurora’s youngest son) decides to come back to footwear suppor ted by his wife nowadays, who was his gir lfriend in those days, Paqui Segura. They began in the street market, without hardly any economic r esour ces and, ste p by ste p, helped by footwear manufacturers, they grew up within the s h o e i n d u s t r y, w h e r e t h e y g o t a n a m e f o r t h e m s e l v e s . Around 2003, they created the brand Drastik, which o p e r a t e d a l m o s t c o m p l e t e l y w i t h i n n a t i o n a l t e r r i t o r y. They decided to impor t the goods made of synthetic leather from Asia and continue working with f a c t o r i e s o f E l c h e f o r t h e s t y l e s m a d e o f l e a t h e r. I n 2005, a lot of fame was reached and Drastik star ted to appear in renowned media like the magazine Vo g u e o r s e v e r a l T V s e r i e s . In 2008 and after the beginning of the economic and social crisis, Juan Caparrós and Paqui Segura, after having reached lots of their goals, reconsidered to c o n t i n u e o r n o t i n t h e c o m p a n y.

I n t h i s r e f l e c t i o n p e r i o d , J u a n C a p a r r ó s J r. , t h e y o u n g e s t s o n o f b o t h , d e c i d e s t o e n t e r t h e c o m p a n y, f a c t t h a t e n c o u r a g e s his parents to face the new business challenge. Soon, E l i s a b e t h C a p a r r ó s , t h e e l d e s t d a u g h t e r, e n t e r s t h e t e a m after having finished her studies in Fashion Design. It is in that time when the management decides to bet on young workers and managers, who wanted to grow as a team, facing the crisis as a good chance and not as a problem. With this ne w initiati ve, the br ands Vaquetillas and Sloww alk ar e cr eated in 20 12, handmade in Spain and with a view to expand the company out of the Peninsula Iberica. Also the br and Dr astik becomes known as DTK, looking for a greater role in the international market. In 2014, and in order to create a more solid base for the project, Drastik Family is bor n, which e n c o m p a s s t h e t h r e e b r a n d s w i t h i n a s i n g l e i d e n t i t y. T h i s i s t h e b e g i n n i n g o f a b i g p r o j e c t , i n w h i c h , betting on the tradition of the industry from Elche, it is intended to shape multitude of new ideas and concepts.

As suggested by the name, Drastik is a family business in which the management and the main managers belong to the C a p a r r ó s S e g u r a f a m i l y. I n a d d i t i o n , i t h a s b e e n a l w a y s appreciated that the workers are more than colleagues and b e c o m e i n a w a y, a p a r t o f t h e f a m i l y. Thanks to that, Drastik can be proud of having a young t e a m a n d f u l l y c o m m i t t e d w i t h t h e c o m p a n y.

T he Shoe’s Way is the perfect d e f i n i t i o n f o r D r a s t i k F a m i l y. F i r s t l y, b e c a u s e t h e c o m p a n y i s in every step of the process of the shoe’s production, from the first design to the sale. In addition, the slogan makes reference to the company’s h i s t o r y, w h i c h h a s r e m a i n e d standing during the evolution of t h e f o o t w e a r w o r l d . F i n a l l y, w e want to emphasize that every par t of the Drastik Family team comes from families who have been always wor king in the footwear world and, as a result, we can bet on tradition appealing to the history of footwear to create new concepts and ideas.

The production is made, for the most par t, in the best factories in Asia, which count on the exhausting monitoring of the whole process, from the choice of the materials to the final sample.

2. Dtk 2.3 MATERIALS AND PRODUCTION The production of the DTK shoe is a thoughtful and delicate process. It searches the best quality in m a t e r i a l s a n d s y n t h e t i c l e a t h e r, a n d , a t t h e s a m e t i m e , it takes care of the design and the style to be at the forefront of the new trends. Its elaboration is made in the best factories in Asia, with a contrasted reputation and with very high quality standards. There are used materials easily malleable, flexible and that bear well the use, that is, tough. As main basis we have to remark the use of the synthetic leather combined with other materials as lycra or textiles and with surprising finishes, as well as the use of studs or metallic flakes.

Vaquetillas, as sug gested by the name has b e e n e n t i r e l y c r e a t e d i n l e a t h e r, i n f a c t o r i e s of Elche and through a process that c o m b i n e s t r a d i t i o n a n d m o d e r n i t y. The result is an elegant, sophisticated and comfor table shoe, of an excellent quality and a touch of modernity and trend.

SLOWWALK 4.1 CORPORATE PHILOSOPHY Slowwalk is a urbanite brand destined to a young masculine public who wants high q u a l i t y, a t t r a c t i v e a n d c o m f o r t a b l e p r o d u c t s t o w e a r t h e m e v e r y d a y. I t a d a p t s designs of classic shoes to an own and very natural style. Green colour is an essential par t of the Slowwalk soul as a way to unify the different models of our collection and to identify the brand. Details as lacings or the lining in green gives the shoe own personality that reflects the natural spirit of Slowwalk. The Spanish handmade in leather and other high quality materials and the fact that it is in the top of the more recently stylistic lines in Europe, are the best possible credentials to trust in the success of Slowwalk and in its strengthening in the international market.
