Foundation Morton Buildings has engineered a foundation system that removes wood from the ground to create the strongest and most durable building yet. Using specially designed components and superior materials, the Morton Foundation System (MFS) is the most advanced foundation in the post-frame industry. The MFS, which consists of a concrete lower column, is now standard with all new buildings. We’re committed to promoting the use of concrete in foundation lower columns. Concrete is a more permanent solution and can be used in all climate conditions. There is no need to pretreat it, so it provides a more eco-friendly option. Most importantly, the Morton Foundation System is 2.5 times stronger than standard concrete, which ensures that the building’s foundation will remain strong. MFS Features - Environmentally-friendly• Safe and strong in all weather conditions• Extends the life of the building• Won’t decay or rot• Protects against termites Build on the Strongest Foundation.

Energy Performer™ The Energy Performer package provides several features including: 1. Walls nearly 9 inches thick with 6 inches of insulation. (With the option to add more/thicker insulation.) 2. Wide blankets of insulations vs. only 14 ½ inches in standard stud wall construction. 3. Polyethylene vapor retarder is carefully installed to keep insulation dry and reduce infiltration and heat loss by creating a seal. HVAC, electricity and plumbing can also be run inside the vapor barrier without cutting holes or breaking the seal. 4. Fully ventilated attic provides condensation control, resulting in dry insulation, which is more effective. 5. 15 ½ inch truss heels allow full depth, blown-in ceiling insulation with a rating of R-38 or greater (ENERGY STAR® compliant)* and air space for attic ventilation. 6. Sidewall fiberglass blanket insulation provides a true R-19 rating. By using thicker walls and more insulation, a greater R-value can be achieved.
