“Shake It Up Cafe” & You Take A Break!
June 18th is quickly approaching and that means that I will soon be embarking on the experience of a lifetime. Soon I will be in Europe learning about the cultures of Italy and Greece. I am so excited to be taking this trip; with world travel comes the knowledge of new cultures, places, outlooks, and history. The Roman and Greek cultures are some of the most interesting and historical cultures in the world and being submerged in these countries will allow me to have a better understanding of our world’s great history. Some of the things I am most excited to do are try the food, shop of course, and see all of the great Roman and Greek ruins. I am particularly excited to see the site of the first Olympic Games since I am so big on sports, especially track. As I take this wonderful journey I will keep all of my readers informed on all wonders I am seeing and the experiences I am having. I still cannot believe that in a matter of days I will be on a plane going overseas to Italy! It is truly going to be one of the greatest experiences of my life and I cannot wait! I also cannot express my gratitude to everyone who has made this trip possible. Thank you all so much! Keep your eyes out for the next few articles they are sure to be exciting!

Moms, think about mid July when the hot days are sizzlin’ and the kids are restless and “stirred up.” How do you think it would feel to have a few carefree hours to kick back with a cup of coffee or glass of iced tea while the kids are mixin’ and fixin’ and stirrin’ things up at Island Presbyterian Church Vacation Bible School? If that sounds good to you, enroll your youngsters in Shake It Up Cafe –Where Kids Carry Out God’s Recipe! July 11 through July 15 from nine until noon our “Cafe” doors will be open to cater to all the kids and grandkids in our community from age of four through grade six! It’s not only goin’ to be great fun, it’s all free! Yep, while you kick back, the kids will be simmerin’ and singin’ Wok and Roll Hits, grillin’ up games at Spork Sports, and whippin’ up experiments in the Foodology Factory. And that’s just for starters! They will also be cookin’ up crafts in the Tangy and Tart Arts center, tastin’ tantilizin’ snacks in the Take Out Treatery, hashin’ out ways to help others in the Hunger Buster Bistro and, best of all, gettin’ big bites of wonderful Bible stories in Kitchen a la King along with little Bible bites for daily livin’. And, there are also some savory surprises sittin’ on the back burner! So, don’t miss out!
