The Madison Park Village DREAM Update November 2013 We’ve had a wonderfully crisp November here at DREAM! The mentors and mentees have spent great time together and nurtured bonds that enrich their lives. DREAM Programming: 

(11/2) The Red Sox won the World Series! Many mentors and mentees turned out to the World Series victory parade. (11/8) Mentor Angie taught a dance class full of our girl mentees—they had a blast and are hoping to do another dance workshop soon! The younger boys played board games at Northeastern, and the older boys went to the movies. (11/15) Half of the older girls went with mentees to do some baking, and the other half went to listen to music, play MASH, and have some positive social time. The older boys went to see Thor, and the younger kids went to see the movie Free Birds. Many mentors did one-on-one programming this week. (11/23) Northeastern DREAM partnered with a former DREAMer at the UBS bank to create a fantastic community cleanup! We began our Saturday morning with hot chocolate, introductions, and sharing what we hoped for the day. Our cleanup took us through the Whittier Street Apartments, onto Tremont Street, and down Melnea Cass, gathering numerous bags of trash debris along the way. The day ended with pizza, drinks, and shared hopes that UBS and DREAM can create something like this again!
