Pine Meadow/John Graham DREAM Monthly Snapshot January 2014 Program Happenings and Highlights • This month the group reunited after the college students returned to school from break for the fast and furious ‘J-Term,’ which encompasses a short semester for the college students with 3 Fridays. • Nearly 100 mentors and mentees from programs across Vermont descended upon Camp DREAM this month for Day WAC (Winter Adventure Camp), including 4 mentors and 5 mentees from Pine Meadow/John Graham, where they played broomball, cross-country skied, and sledded! A group of these hearty winter adventurers stuck around for an overnight, including 3 mentees and 2 mentors from Pine Meadow/John Graham, extending the winter playtime! • A group of mentors and mentees attended the annual Middlebury College Dance Marathon on a Saturday this month, helping to raise money for the Vermont Children’s Hospital! Weekly Programming with Children • One Friday mentors and mentees explored their creative side with an invention day. • The group came together for some dance lessons from an on campus dance club and some rock climbing at the college bouldering wall. • The final Friday of J-Term was spent relaxing with some yoga!
