Poultney DREAM Monthly Snapshot June 2014 Program Happenings and Highlights This month, Poultney DREAM youth and families were excited to welcome back Summmer Community Intern, Samantha Abrahamsen. Samantha spent three days at summer orientation at Camp DREAM, and since then, has been hard at work planning two days a week of enriching activities for DREAM youth. See below for highlights. Weekly Programming with Children
On June 18th, Samantha and the Poultney DREAM families kicked off the summer with a taco bar party. The lack of berries at the berry farm forced the group to change their plans. Instead, they took a trip to the Poultney River, where they swam and caught a frog! The group traveled to the Green Mountain Power Energy Innovation Center in Rutland, where they learned about cow power and other renewable energy sources. After the tour, the group visited the bounce house in the mall.
