Elm St. mentees and mentors were excited to return after a long break this month. The Cynic, a UVM student-run news publication, attended a DREAM Friday to include our program in an article about community engagement at UVM. Mentors and mentees gathered at Camp DREAM on January 31st for Winter Adventure Camp 2015. Everyone had a great time cross-country skiing, sledding and playing some epic games of broomball on a frozen Metcalf Pond up in Fletcher, Vermont. Elm St. is recruiting teens in the community to apply for our pilot Mentor-in-Training program, starting this spring. MiTs will have more responsibility within the program, help make program decisions with mentors, and plan DREAM Fridays for the group.

Elm St. DREAM held one DREAM Friday this month. Mentors set up a game of Jeopardy and brought snacks to make a game day of the afternoon!
