Northwoods DREAM Monthly Snapshot June 2016 Program Happenings and Highlights
This month Summer Programming kicked off with a fantastic start! AmeriCorps members came together for a week long training in Half Moon State Park. Mona Abdelghani and Lael Daigle became familiar with the youth and families. Summer Community members held a BBQ in the community. Summer lunches, provided by area churches, were distributed by the AmeriCorps Summer members. Camp DREAM took place this month! We welcomed 94 youth to Camp Abnaki for a week of canoeing, kayaking, outdoor games, arts and crafts, and other engaging activities. Dartmouth mentor Gautam Babu and Daniela Jerez were able to join for the week! The youth from Dartmouth were grateful to have them along!

Weekly Programming with Children
Mona brought youth to swim in the river and at the Hartland Dam. Mona organized water activities for the kids in the community on hot days. On rainy days kids played board games in the community and cooked lunch! Summer members continuously worked on educating the youth on the importance of keeping the community clean.
