WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A

Written by: Soror Chanae King Pi Eta Chapter Florida Atlantic University

ZETA

Ninety-three years ago five women took a stand. A stand for scholarship, service, sisterly love, and finer womanhood. It’s true, finer women wear royal blue and pure white. When I see those two colors, I know a Zeta is in sight. From her Z-Phi to her So-Sweet, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority was the perfect sorority for me. We’re about our business, although we like to have fun. No matter where we go, we remember that we are one. This is more than a sisterhood, this is sisterly love. Real love. True love. Peace, represented by a dove. Education? Oh no, we don’t play with that. Scholarship is number one, yes, that’s a fact. You can’t forget about service, Zetas love to give back. Yes, I’m a Zeta, I’m just that. This is the epitome of a beautiful dove Helpful, giving, and filled with love.
