The Wide System kit for Starlight Series includes a High Contrast anamorphic lens and its proprietary holder. The big difference between an anamorphic system and classical 16:9 displays is that the screen perfectly matches the movie format: no more black bars on top and bottom of the picture. As a result, the cinemascope system re-creates at home the immersive experience of watching a movie in its original format. Just sit comfortably, relax and enjoy the show in a true cinemascope format.

a movie on a 2.35 cinemascope screen No more bars, the frame increases the impression of contrast. All pixels are used, brightness is increased by 25% The DreamVision Wide System does not involve any movement: once the lens is adjusted, there is no need to touch it again, it is permanently fixed in front of the projector. The Wide System is optimized for the latest Blu-ray and DVD formats such as 2.37:1 or 2.40:1 ‘‘True Cinema 1080p 24’’. But, if from time to time, you want to watch a television show or sports, it is easy to deactivate the cinemascope mode and the system will turn the format back to 16:9.

On top of preserving the overall design of the Starlight projector, the Wide System kit (P/N T9005500) is also extremely easy to install and to set up. The system can be ceiling mounted (with the optional Starlight Ceiling Bracket) and is compatible with the DreamVision Theatre screens.

SHADOW Paris, April 2010.

DreamVision introduces Starlight3 Shadow, a second limited edition of its flagship model. The projector’s ultra-stylish chassis was created by the famous French designer, Antoine Beon, also creator of the DreamBee Series. Whereas Starlight1 and Starlight2 come standard in black or white colour, Starlight3 is now available in this robust looking casing that imitates aluminium. Using the latest technological innovations and picking the best components, DreamVision has achieved a breathtaking 70,000:1 contrast ratio, which more than doubles the performance of a Starlight1. What sets DreamVision apart is this unique blend of latest technologies with high quality materials, attention to detail and striking Parisian design. It’s a Shadow that deserves to come to light.
