A Warm Welcome. Welcome to the second edition of Bentley Moments magazine. Thank you for your great feedback regarding our first ever edition back in March. Following your comments you will now see it is bigger in both size and content, and this is set to continue as we go forward. Since our last edition we seem to have gone straight into summer, what with all the great weather we have been having and, speaking of which, what a great summer of events we have lined up for you. You will find that we have detailed some of these events in full throughout the magazine. Remember, we don’t make profits from these events, with all proceeds going to our charity partner, East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. Thank you for greatly supporting the first of our Bentley family days held at Whitwell & Reepham Railway Station in the heart of Norfolk. We had over 200 guests for a great day (even though the sun decided to have a day off!). I want to express my gratitude to all of our customers who came in a vintage Bentley or Rolls Royce to really set the scene against the back drop of the steam engines. We will be holding our very first Service Clinic on the 8th & 9th of May, for those of you that have not been to either Bentley Cambridge, or indeed any Bentley dealer for a while. You will have the opportunity to meet the team and get a free ‘no catches’ check up on your Bentley, to give you peace of mind for your summer of driving. You can also meet a member of the Bentley factory team and

catch up with all the new services they can offer while you enjoy a cup of tea and pastries. Spaces are limited, so to reserve yours please call Zara on 01223 423515. In the showroom we have the launch of the Continental GT & GTC Concours and Black Editions, both available on a Solutions Personal Contract Plan. Both of these editions are brimming with additional specifications and are available in V8 & W12 engines. The new Mulsanne Speed is now available to drive for you to feel the inspirational speed and refinement you will never find in any other car in this market place. I hope you enjoy our second edition of Bentley Moments and as always your feedback is important to us. If there is something you want to see in the next edition please either call me or e-mail your thoughts to steve.millward@bentleycambridge.co.uk Thank you and, until next time, I look forward to seeing you at one of our great events or at the showroom in Cambridge.

BENTLEY CAMBRIDGE PRE-OWNED

Full steam ahead.

The Whitwell and Reepham Rail Experience.

Approaching the entrance to Whitwell and Reepham Railway Station you were met with the most fantastic sight; a line of superb Bentleys, sitting proudly on this little piece of Norfolk land. An elegant mix of old and new, proudly, and very kindly, brought along by their discerning owners. With many Bentley enthusiasts in attendance it was lovely to see these rare vehicles in such exquisite condition, a real credit to those who maintained them. The 2015 range complimented these heritage vehicles perfectly. Though noticably different in looks, the heart and soul of these vehicles remains the same, and with their unique racing pedigree, it is clear to see why Bentley remains such an iconic brand. Commanding the attention of the passing crowds the lineup, which included the beautiful Mulsanne, Flying Spur V8 and GT Speed to name a few, were elegantly displayed. We can think of no better way to enter an event, especially with such brand enthusiasts on their way. We were happy to find many smiling faces waiting to board their first steam trip of the day, jumping aboard the engine to take a short tour of the station. Both young and old were here to experience times gone by at Bentley Cambridge’s Whitwell and Reepham Rail Experience. Departing at the next platform over 200 guests took time at their leisure to have lunch and enjoy the lawn games on offer. We welcomed some of the railway’s regular visitors to the event, keen not to miss out on the fun.

Thankfully, the British weather was kind to us and a fantastic afternoon was had by all at this wonderful venue. The event was held in order to raise some funds for the station’s current restoration project, Annie. Annie is the sister train to Victory and is currently in need of a lot of work to get her up and running. You can see station staff member Chris working on her in the image above. We must thank you all, as always, for helping make this event a success. We couldn’t have done it without you. There seems to be something about steam engines that demands such dedication and, for many stations and engines become not only an interest, but a hobby. Taking advantage of the Full Rail Experience on offer on this day, some very excited customers headed out to take a ride on the footplate of Victory, taking the controls for themselves for half an hour of freedom! One very enthusiastic gentleman stepped off the train having finally realised his steam dream, commenting that he had wanted to drive one of these machines since he was a young boy. At 4pm the event began to wind to a close and we said goodbye to all of you who had joined us. We hope that you thoroughly enjoyed the day and if you didn’t get a chance to make it along this time, there are plenty of opportunities throughout the year to attend a fantastic Bentley Cambridge event. We have detailed some of the upcoming events throughout this magazine, including the highly anticipated Royal Scot Grand Drive to the Concours of Elegance.

The Blades fly to challenge convention; to do the difficult things with excellence; The Blades fly to demonstrate that the sky is not the limit.

High Flyers.

A jaw-dropping 15 minutes goes by. At this moment everyone wishes they were in your shoes, as your eyes fixate on the skies overhead and you watch four incredible machines take ownership of the expanse of sky above. The silence on the ground is broken only by twinkle rolls, crossfire breaks and knife edge spins. As the planes roar past over the heads of the crowd you know you are witnessing something very special.

A reaction like this comes only from watching something so awe-inspiringly impressive that words do the display no justice, and there could be no other sight so magnificent than the Blades Aerobatic Display Team. Based at Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire, they are the only full time team to offer unforgettable flying experiences to members of the public, making them the world’s only aerobatic airline, and very special indeed. Such experiences are in high demand all over the world and at Bentley Cambridge we are fortunate to work so

closely with the team in order to offer you incredible, tailored events. Our Blades meets Bentley Aerobatic day is certainly no exception. If it’s adrenaline you’re after, you’ve come to the right place. Formed back in 2006, The Blades team is made up from an elite team of former RAF pilots, who between them have commanded a Harrier squadron in Afghanistan, flown in the famous Red Arrows and piloted Jaguar and Hawk aircrafts. The result is a highly experienced flying squad with a combined flying time of over 30,000 hours, so you can be assured that you are always in the safest of hands, (even if you are upside down!). The Blades had one of the greatest priviledges of performing at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations back in 2012 to a crowd of over 10,000. If Royal spectators weren’t enough, the team can also boast a world record for performing consecutive loops

in close formation. Flying four of their standard Extra EA300 aircraft, the incredibly talented pilots set a record of 26 consecutive loops back in October 2011. It’s enough to make you dizzy just thinking about it. On July 16th the team at Bentley Cambridge are offering a once in a lifetime experience at the most action-packed, adrenaline filled day on the Bentley calendar. Between the Bentley driving team and the Blades aerobatic team you will experience a day like no other and their most fantastic display promises not to disappoint. Consisting of a meticulously planned and executed series of 26 aerobatic manoeuvres the planes fly past at a combined speed of 400mph. Rising up to the clouds in a loop-the-loop before throwing themselves into whirlpools, twin tumbles and wingovers, they end in their signature Blade Break. A selection of Bentley driving experiences are also available on the day for you to put the cars through their paces. With dynamic and soft driving experiences on offer you can be sure that if the adrenaline of the skies does not take your fancy, then perhaps the adrenaline on the road will. We are also lucky enough on this day to be joined by the world famous, and rather iconic, Spitfire, one of the most famous fighter planes to date. On the day four lucky people will be taken to the skies in this most breath-taking of machines. We are happy to offer you a choice of three different packages at this event, knowing that whichever you choose, there is plenty to keep you entertained throughout the day. Of course, breakfast, a delectable fine dining lunch and champagne are included in all

packages, to keep you fuelled throughout your day. Our first Green Label Package is ideal for those of you who would prefer to keep your feet on the ground after all the excitement of the day. On top of watching the incredible display team above you there will be a number of dynamic and soft driving experiences across the day to keep you entertained, and we guarantee to suit all driving tastes. A total of 30 Green Label Packages are available at £149pp. For those of you who would like to watch the display and then take a leisurely flight yourself we are offering the Red Label Package. A flight in a Dragon Rapide or Tigermoth helicopter is included in this package and you can enjoy the incredible view as you look down on the event below. You can still take advantage of all of the driving experiences. A total of 54 Red Label Packages are available at £499pp. We are offering our final Black Label Package to those of you who are ready to feel a pure adrenaline rush unrivalled by anything that you may have done before. This package includes a very special flying experience with the Blades team themselves as they take you through their display and really show off what their incredible planes can do. Feel weightless as you see the Northamptonshire landscape from angles you didn’t think were possible in this once in a lifetime experience. Come back down to earth and continue the fun on the ground with the Bentley driving experiences. Secure your Black Label Package at £899pp, but to avoid disappointment do be quick, as there are only 16 of these available.

The new pinnacle SUV. “The Bentley Bentayga is a name that reflects what we know our SUV will do better than any other car in the world - combine the best automotive luxury with outstanding performance to take the Bentley experience to new environments.” - Wolfgang Dürheimer, Chairman and Chief Executive of Bentley Motors There is nothing more breathtakingly beautiful yet impossibly tough than the natural world. It is easy to understand why this was the inspiration behind the most uncompromising SUV available on the market.

beneath your wheels. Afterall, in order to create a masterpiece, you must first be uncompromising.

An incredibly streamlined balance between the powerful underbelly and the luxuriously calm exterior plays out on each journey, allowing those within to transport themselves to new environments. Through latitude and longitude, of course - but also via mind and spirit.

The SUV takes inspiration from the unforgiving landscape of the Taiga, a breath-taking transcontinental snowforest in the Northern Hemisphere, and the Roque Bentayga, a beautifully imposing 4,642 foot high mountain peak that stands above the Gran Canaria backdrop. Its very name conjures visions of the most powerful beauty, a feeling that is transferred to the ownership of this exqusite vehicle.

This most luxurious of vehicles allows you to conquer the world, taking in your stride the harshest of landscapes with the poise and refinement you would expect on the road. We don’t see an SUV. We see beyond.

For those of you joining us on our Orient Express VIP Day, you will be treated to a very special viewing of this market-leading vehicle on our visit to Crewe, the home of Bentley.

Combining the beautiful hand crafted features with assured performance, undoubtedly the most famous hallmark of the brand is its effortless luxury. The Bentayga bridges the gap between the comfortable journey you demand and the unforgiving terrain

To place a deposit or to express your interest in the new Bentley Bentayga, before its official launch, please do not hesitate to contact the team at Bentley Cambridge on 01223 423515.
