Our Mission Timothy Center Ecoprises is a Low-profit Limited Liability Company (L3C) that catalyzes businesses for sustainable transformation of societies in the United States and abroad. Based in the Chicago area and drawing from a nationwide talent pool, Timothy Center Ecoprises’ entrepreneurs are social innovators dedicated to catalyzing business ventures that raise the quality of life and dignity of the world’s marginalized. We are distinctly Christian in our practice and we believe what Jesus taught concerning “care for the least of these” is a vital aspect of our responsibility in proclaiming the gospel in word and work. As such, we engage in a quadruple bottom-line model rather than the typical double bottom-line model of a social business. Our ventures focus on raising the economic, environmental, social and spiritual quality of life of people by creating businesses to address social problems. The L3C business designation ensures that Timothy Center Ecoprises maintains its commitment to value based businesses that focus on the return-on-society above the return-on-investment as its primary objective.
Life on a Landfill One landfill located along the seaside on the edge of Cap Haitien is home to a growing community of squatters. Malnutrition, lack of educational opportunities and unemployment are only a couple issues. We believe that new business is a means to help raise their quality of life. Your investment will help make it possible.

Our Management Team “Research precedes every strategy and every creative direction.” The management team is led by Dr. Michael T. Cooper who has over 20 years of experience as a social innovator. The team consists of highly motivated individuals who have invested themselves for the cause of others. They are social innovators who see the value of catalyzing enterprises that focus on the return on society and the human bottom-line. The team is globally connected with human resources and networks in Thailand, Kenya, Uruguay,
Romania, Haiti, Nicaragua, and the United States. The team’s expertise not only lies in social innovation, but also in cultural exegesis giving rise to the motto “research precedes every strategy and every creative direction.” Timothy Center Ecoprises has a diversified portfolio encompassing ventures as far ranging as construction material production, solid waste recycling and water distribution. We identify pressing
social issues in a society and collaborates with local entrepreneurs to catalyze business ventures to address the issues. We identify opportunities and match them with local entrepreneurs, then coach the entrepreneurs in business formation until they reach financial capacity to buy out the business from Timothy Center Ecoprises. We are currently implementing our business strategy in three countries. In Haiti, we have come
Diverse Portfolio alongside a church in the north by helping them create sustainable businesses to address the need of waste management and clean water. In Uruguay, we have come alongside a new church to help them create a business that will address the growing issue of COPD through producing green building materials. In Romania, we have
come alongside a church to help it create a tourist agency. All of these businesses will help fund the various churches and their ministries. The businesses also provide employment for church members and opportunities to effectively engage culture both spiritually and materially. We are also exploring green building with
concrete additives in the developing world. Integrating business into an approach to solving social issues is an important strategy in the 21st century.
