A Next Gen Update

Over the last 12 months Next Gen has been working hard to set up process and procedures to ensure the longevity of Next Gen. We have been working with the office and the board to further establish Next Gen.

We were pleased to be able to award 4 attendees to Young Beef Producers Forum for 2022 and look forward to awarding up to 3 recipients on Monday night with our auction. Our 2022 Recipients were: Bianca Collins, Lawrence Sehmish-Lahey, Stephanie Laycock and Greta Dunne. We believe YBPF provides a great opportunity to keep up to date with the industry and network and we look forward to continuing to support members to attend.

To further our fundraising efforts together with our Annual auction, new Next Gen Merchandise has been created which includes a new round of Trucker Caps & Fishing Shirts. Our Fishing Shirts are an order by pre-order and are perfect gift for Christmas so get in quick as there will only be a once off launch of this design. We can’t wait to support the youth of our membership with the funds raised.

As Beef is fast approaching we look forward to being apart of the Droughtmaster display!

We have our Annual Report Meeting scheduled for the 21st of November 2023 and we invite members to be involved by logging on to attend the meeting or joining the committee. Our Executive Positions of the committee will be open so you are welcome to apply or join the committee as a committee member. If you’d like to be involved please have a chat to one of the committee members.

We would like to extend a Thank You to our current committee consisting of Lauren Finger as President, Sarah Holloway as Secretary, Mikaela Gauci as Treasurer, and committee members Matthew Richardson, Flynn Suendermann, Cass Brooke and Maegen Nugent.

Thank You for Your Generosity

Thank you!

Firstly, a huge thank you to all the donors of lot items for the Next Gen’s auction! The generosity and kindness of people and businesses has been overwhelming, and as the full details/images of each item unfolded, the Next Gen Committee were consistently left astonished and grateful by the extent of these wonderful donations.

A big thanks needs to go to the three young auctioneers from SBB, Nutrien and Elders, as well as SBB for running the accounts for us. Thanks to Libby and the team from Stocklive for their fantastic work putting together the online bidding page as well as Carly from QCLX for the onsite planning of the auction.
