O.D.E. - Owen Dudley Edwards
There at the beginning, and likely to outlast all of us, the historian, writer, broadcaster, public intellectual and commentator Owen Dudley Edwards was a founding editor of The Drouth and has never missed a day of work. His essays cover a range of topics from Irish literature to Empire, Scottish politics and literary biography (frequently all in the same piece...). In-depth yet eloquent, his essays offer unique and unorthodox insights into our culture, both at its 'centre' and its 'margins'.
