Are you unable to overcome certain things in your life? Don’t get discouraged and don’t doubt God!
1
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: Ja Jame me mess 1:13
You might have heard this verse many times. But the question is, how to overcome the body. How to kill the worldly person within us and become a Spiritual being!
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1Co 1Corinthians rinthians 2:14
Being the children that believe in Him, it is the God’s permissive will, that we should be Holy.
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1Pe 1Peter ter 1:15,16
It is not a ‘mantra’ from God to make you Holy. Here, Lord Jesus is revealing the deep desire and the will of our Heavenly Father. It is commissioned to us to be Holy. We cannot enter the Kingdom of God being unholy.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Mat Matthew thew 7:21 2|P a ge
And as we cannot make ourselves Holy with our own strength, God gave His Holy Spirit to guide us and strengthen us. But my friends, “It is by the Holy Spirit, that ‘we’ should discipline ourselves.” Note that ‘we’ also have a duty to do besides the Holy Spirit. Jesus said,
“I am the resurrection, and the life...” (Joh 11:25)_
Resurrection means the dying of the old person and being born again as a new creation.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2Co 2Corinthians rinthians 5:17
Dying as a person that cannot be Holy, and rising as a person that can be Holy.
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is rraised aised in incorruption: rinthians 15:42 1Co 1Corinthians
Dying as person that is addicted and bound to the world, and being born again as a King.
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 1Pe 1Peter ter 2:9
If you have Jesus in your life, you can have the power of resurrection. And with this, you can overcome all things.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Rom 8:37
Not just believing in Jesus, but have Him in your life. Discipline yourselves in such a way that He could dwell in you. Now comes the real question.... You may ask me, why God has to leave this work of ‘disciplining’ ourselves when He loves us so much. It is indeed because He loved us so much, my friends, that He gave His own image to us.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Gen Genesis esis 1:27
He didn’t want us to be His servant Robots or His pet dogs. He had created us to be His children, His heirs for the Kingdom of Heaven. He is our father and we are His sons and daughters.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Rom Romans ans 8:15
Only when we choose to discipline ourselves, that He will do miracles in our lives and dwell in our lives. And if he dwells in you, you can never be the same again.
Abi Abide de in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. Joh Johnn 15:4 And do you know how ‘difficult’ it is to do this work of disciplining? It is as difficult as taking a well baked Chocolate Turfle from the plate up to the mouth.
The slothful hideth his hand in his bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth. Pro 26:15 4|P a ge
In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus narrates a parable about a son that had rebelled against his father, took his part of property and went away into the world for enjoyment, leaving his Father’s house. We can find it from chapters 15. When he lost everything and everyone left him, he found himself a job for his living. It is to look after pigs. He had to work day and night to get some pig’s food to eat. He might be occupied by the worries and sorrows. But one day, he remembered that he does have a father’s house. The great thing that he had done is that he had immediately set out a journey towards his Father. Inspite of the fact that it is very difficult for him now, to enter into his father’s house. (Luke 15:19) He had chosen this decision, and disciplined himself to go towards his father. And as he was going, when he was yet a great way off from his father, something happened. Something which would clear all our doubts and discouragements. Something amazing and marvellous. When the son was yet a great way off! That son, who had broken the heart of the father. That son who denied the father and had destroyed all the honour and pride of the father. That son who brought shame upon his father’s house. (Just like I did to my Heavenly Father.) At such a point of time as this, the father’s eyes saw the son first. And the father was filled with compassion. (Luke 15:20). This father had been waiting day and night for this time. My beloved brothers and sisters, same is the case with our Heavenly Father, our Creator. He is eager to help us, as we choose the way towards Him. It is not by our discipline that we will be changed. It is because God will ‘see us’ when we are yet a great way of, through discipline. He will come running to us and carry us to His house. Now, if it is so, that ‘great’ work of ‘disciplining ourselves’ is the easiest thing that we could do on Earth.
Wait a minute!!!!! But my sin was great. The ransom that should be paid to redeem my soul from sin too high!!!! Yes of course, it is.
Our Creator, that does have power to from Heaven and leave His glory, never liked to step down from the Cross till He paid for all our sins. Even until the last drop of blood left Him. Until all salvation is over. Until all redemption is complete. Until all freedom is given to you and me. Until all healing is given. Until all things became new. Only then He said,
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. Joh Johnn 19:30 5|P a ge
Thus He had replaced that great burden on us with a simple work of “choosing the discipline of Faith.” Now did you understand, my beloved, why I said that it was the easiest thing that we could do? I am writing this with my eyes loaded with tears, just having a glance at my past life. At a point of time, I thought that I am meant only for hell. I thought that I could never change. I thought that I could never pass a single subject. I thought that there could never be a victory in my life. I used to cry out in my bathroom, concealed by the sound of shower. But one day, I remembered my father’s house that I have left a long way back. I set out a new journey towards Him. Then, my God didn’t chide me away, nor embarrassed me, but He was moved with compassion, came running towards me, lifted me up, kissed me on the neck, and restored to me, His Kingdom. You might be a born Christian, you might have memorised the whole Bible. Your parents might be elder in the Church. Even, you might be an elder, or a youth leader or a preacher yourself. Whoever you might be, in whatever condition you might be, if you want changes in your life, if you still are not able to overcome the body or the world, if you want Holiness and Miracles in your life, choose to dwell in Jesus, and He in you. Make a whole hearted attempt of discipline. He will surely run to you. It may not happen over a night. But as you keep on ‘choosing’ day by day and ‘sowing’, you will reap the change in your life with joy.
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Psa Psalms lms 126:5
If you want to start disciplining yourself right now, cry out to the Lord. Ask Him to forgive you and help you. Find a good Spiritual Church and be regular to Sunday Worships. Read Bible everyday seeking God’s help wholeheartedly. When you are in this path, only then you will start to come under the Kingdom of Heaven. Discouragement, depression, doubt, weeping, which is the influences of hell, shall fade away. Hope, Joy, Love, Strength, Confidence, which are the influences of heaven, shall spring forth in your life.
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. Isa Isaiah iah 61:3 6|P a ge
Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. Isa Isaiah iah 60:20
Take a decision today. Go to your room alone and cry out to the Lord.
Now (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) 2Corinthians 6:2
MAY THE COMMUNION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BE WITH YOU NOW AND FOREVER MORE AMEN
