Red Hot Fundraising Challenge!
Northallerton and The Dales Samaritans is your local branch, and we need your help to ensure we remain open. We are setting a ‘red hot’ fundraising challenge open to individuals or teams.
We are holding a spectacular Firewalk Event, using a national company Time4Change, at Northallerton Rugby Club on Saturday 1st April 2023. We have space for up to 100 participants who are willing to walk on hot coals. Full training will be given before the walk, and we hope you brave ‘soles’ will find it an empowering experience. It will be a fun evening; the bar will be open, and we hope your family and friends will join us to cheer you on!

A hog roast will be available direct from Hog Roast Catering at £6.50 per person and there will be a vegetarian option. Should we have inclement weather, the Firewalk can still happen, and the Rugby Club has room for all to find shelter.
We are a small rural branch, one of more than 200 Samaritans branches across the UK and Ireland, and we have been supporting the North Yorkshire community since 1964. We are not able to be open all the time, but the need is great, and we take around 500 calls each month. All money raised at the Firewalk will help us be there for anyone who finds themselves in emotional distress and needs someone to talk to, in complete confidence, without judgement, whether on the ‘phone, by email, by letter, messaging or in person.
If you or your team are ready to ‘brave the blaze’, please, email fundraising@ samaritans-northallerton.org or call 07896 626016. After registering, you will receive a welcome pack with details of how to create your page on our fundraising platform, and a sponsor form should you prefer, then you are all set to start fundraising!
• Registration fee is: £25 nonrefundable
• Minimum sponsorship is £150 per person
