profit organization comprised of individuals, merchants, property owners, and advocates who work together to support, promote, and improve the local business community of this great town. Welcome to Waxhaw! As this years Waxhaw Business Association (WBA) President, I am pleased to tell you something about our wonderful town. Ours is a uniquely beautiful community, steeped in history and small-town charm, while still offering the advantages of a prosperous urban area. Our pedestrian-friendly downtown includes a wide variety of restaurants, retailers, antique shops and park areas. We are also home to services such as real estate, insurance, legal and accounting.
My family and I, who have lived here for over 15 years, enjoy the extensive variety of activities available to us in Waxhaw. And as a mortgage lender and local Waxhaw business, I have had the opportunity to enjoy the area’s fast-growing business environment.
This past year has brought many challenges, but our residents and businesses have risen to the task. A big thank you to outgoing WBA President Marcus Watson and Treasurer Marnie Carter for keeping our organization on track and in focus. Our appreciation also goes to Waxhaw Mayor Ron Pappas and Town Manager Jeffrey Wells for their excellent community leadership.
The WBA is dedicated to encouraging, supporting and promoting our town’s thriving business community. Our focus this year is clearer than ever. Whether you are a visitor to our town, an established resident, or simply exploring potential opportunities here, we are pleased to be at your service.
