Our new Downtown park is expected to open in 2023! Located off of Givens Street, it will provide recreation, greenways, picnic pods, outdoor fitness equipment, and naturethemed playgrounds. The Parks and Recreation Department will provide educational and family events as well as health and wellness activities at the new park. This lovely pocket park located in one of the downtown historic district neighborhoods features beautiful roses and a contemplation area. The garden was named after Waxhaw's beloved history teacher, Dare Steele. Intersection of South Providence Street and McKibben Street in Downtown Waxhaw

Located in downtown Waxhaw, this one-acre neighborhood park is filled with play equipment for the little ones to climb, swing, and slide. Families can enjoy a leisure afternoon among the well-maintained greenspace. Skateboard enthusiasts flock to this outdoor venue in downtown Waxhaw to practice their tricks. The park offers impressive obstacle ramps and expansive concrete ground features. The half-pipe, quarter-pipe, decking, rails, ramps, and bowl are well-suited for skateboard lovers of all ages and skills and it's free to use. Helmets are required.
